I honestly believe that it is the fault of my beloved PSN cohorts that would not buy into this game. It's fun...but L4D was the kind of game for me that got old very quickly. Sure playing ANY game with friends makes it more fun...but the irony here is that COD:WAW had a better Zombie game!

In my experience there's a lot of dead air on PSN. Lots of people to play with, but not as many to talk to while playing. That cheap little headset that Microsoft included in all of those consoles went a long way to building the community.

fair point tbh. altho saying that team fortress 2 on the 360 was completely dead last time i played and valve failed to support the 360 version whilst the pc version was getting loads of free content and updates

Seriously, someone should make a poll that asks if anyone gives two flying rat sh|ts about Valve's poor attempts at excuses for not going through with PS3 development.

They either defame the community, lie about the system and its architecture, lie about astronomical dev costs when there are plenty of indie devs doing quite well on the PS3 out there who are considerably smaller than Valve...does it ever end?

PS3 is atleast 3-4 years behind 360's community and features.

Valve just wants to make the best possible experience, and ps3 would jeopardize that.

Well, I was too vague with my comment.
I meant to say that PS3 owners of late - have sooo many choices; all of which in my opinion make L4D2 look like a less profitable venture for Valve. I think they are acutely aware that their L4D2 (basing this off the Demo I've played - yes, I own a 360)...that their game would need a graphics overhaul and be MORE....I can't put that into a better explanation, because I don't even know what it is - but L4D2 is missing that "something great" from what I've read and the demo....it's very meh to me.

But - this is all for moot anyways. Valve have stated many times that the PS3 is too hard to develop for and looking at many third party titles of late - makes Valve look very very sad.

Honestly, the point here is 360 without Valve is hurt...maybe only a little, but it would be hurt. PS3 has no need for Valve really - been doing fine without them.

I have no problem jumping online with my friends and playing games. The multiplayer in games like KZ2, Uncharted 2, Borderlands, Resistance series, and Warhawk are really good and prove that the PS3 has the ability. I think Valve is being lazy and worrying too much about the bottom line.

uncharted 2 8pm est last night a little over 100k gamers online worldwide on what is supposedly the best experience on psn this year? UC2 can't even put TF2 numbers and that game is going on 5 years old.

Instead of steadily complaining about valve and defending the ps3 how about we support PSN by playing these games, buying quality dlc off psn, and giving more MP games longevity.

I won't even deny that Live does have a more active community, just that your reasons for developing on the PS3 has nothing to do with that, it has more to do with the fact you haven't made a new engine since 2004 and your founders have close ties to Microsoft.

This Chet guy was saying sh!t about the PS3 before, and to the same jokers at CVG, and they refused to call him on it. CVG are a bunch of Valve fanboys that will let them say whatever the hell they want without consequence. Please, CVG, grow a pair!

As for Chet, he REALLY needs to quit the gaming business if he truly believes that. Hell, he should quit anyway for even trying to say that or even IMPLY that.

Sad thing is, though, Valve won't listen to the people who are making any REAL criticism of their products. They keep listening to the people who are the immature brats who'll call everyone who dislikes Valve for ANY reason a "SDF" member. Pathetic!

I don't buy shooters for my PS3 but I'm sure some of you only PS3 owners would enjoy this game.

Hate all day...but he's got a point.

It's not about HARDWARE like some lead you to believe. Your a complete FOOL if you really believe VALVE technically, cannot develop a PS3 game if they wanted to.

The PC/360 community is a strong one due to a lot of little differences between the PS3 base and architecture.

Oh I hate PS3 controller for shooters but that's besides the point

maybe this is because xbox owners have played the same 2 or 3 games for years so they all know each other, there's nothing new other than halo spinnoffs

what else can they play if not gears, halo or left 4 dead?

there's so much stuff to play online on PS3 that it's hard to spend a lot of time on one game: little big planet, resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Motorstorm 2, Demon's Souls and more

also when you're paying for something that the competition offers for free people tend to form bonds, sorta like a losers club

Because valves is unable to program correctly on the ps3. they become frustrates . This is the line between were you separate the good from the incompetent. I have just one word for the personnel of valves , try to make a game that as the level of uncharted 2 on the xbox 360 and your a free to say what you have to say. Please until that moment shut your mouth. and continue to make game on the RROD.

I have 5 xbox before switching to ps3 and I play with my friend to on the net completly free.
