Xbox 360 has only the 120gb hard drives, the 250gb are not be mass releaseed, I install 3 games to my 120gb HD and the thing ran super Slow.. Microsoft needs to Let us install our own Hard Drive Like the PS3

basically,microsoft told developers to chop up their games to fit on dvd.bigger games just can't fit,so they either make the game SMALLER,or they spread out the game on MULTIPLE DISC or make you download DLC.as we have seen with forza3.

microsoft must have seen the light as you say.but it's not any different than what we have seen from them.

sony said 1080p support was necessary for next gen tvs.microsoft said no it's not.then microsoft adds what they bashed sony for.making sony right.

the same thing happened with hdmi,the same thing happened with avatars,the same thing WILL happen with hard drives.PS3 FANS ALREADY KNOW THIS.

in order for games to get better,they need to make the hard drive standard.as it already is with ps3.it also seem like it would be necessary for NATAL to work by having the hard drive.i don't think having a memory card will be enough for games or natal.

so,it's a total 180 from microsoft in that they bashed sony for all the things that were built in,but then they are adding the same things on the low as to not seem like 360 is an inferior product.even if it is anyway.

but in order for microsoft to press forward,they need to become more like sony to last the potential 10 years.but ps3 fans were already aware.

i mean....i do respect him for his motivation...and his regularity (every week a new show)
but he and his headlines (and all those people tellin´ you that we´re jealous of his ?success?) are slowly gettin´ ridiculous.

I don´t know....
keep doin´ your thing dude (cause it seems like you NEVER change/learn)
but every week HHG is going downwards in terms of bearableness...atleast for me.

oh...and for the HDD and "downgrade" discussion
IF they come up with such a step then....i dont know...
i dont think it will affect THAT much people...cause almost everyone has a HDD.
but keep in my mind: PS3 has MANDATORY game installations (not on all games...but most of them) it wouldn´t let you play the game at all if you don´t install it.
so... if they would let you play the game just with a lower resolution or whatever they "downgrade" then i don´t really see what the problem is.
it´s their (Micro$oft) way to solve the "OH NOES WE´RE (the customer) GETTIN´ F*****" problem.
you could NEVER please everyone....there´s ALWAYS people who feel left out.
just think about THAT for a moment...

The majority of Xbox 360 owners already have a HDD and like Dragon Age origins, its optimized to take advantage of the HDD if you choose to install it on there but it isn't a necessity like some you guys are beginning to preach. So you can play these games without the HDD but if you install it it runs phenomenally better as it should.

All MS can do is what's been done

Optional full game installs for smoother load times, and install extra disks for extra content.

But MS cannot force people to buy hard drives, so games cannot be graphically optimised for hard drives like ps3 games can.

What you say makes sense. The 360 arcade has been raised in price and Imt thinking that soon they'll add a hard drive.

Especially since games are now coming out made for hard drives. Plus you could buy forza 3 and get hard drive at a discount. So its clear that MS wants people to buy hard drives.

To stay in the competition and keep marketshare a hard drive will become neccessary, especially since it is the lack of a hard drive which is hurting 360 games most.

But like I said MS cannot force people to buy them, which is a huge issue as you cant have 2 settings for a game, one with better graphics, your taking away the appeal that makes people want consoles instead of PC's.

I dont know about your sources but your ideas are pretty rock solid imo.

i think they will replace the arcade with the premium sku that has a 60 gig build in so the 360 sku line up will be 60(20)gig arcade,120gig normal and the 250 gig elite edition.

And drop the price for the 60 gig to $50 for people with a arcade you have to fill in a form from the microsoft site or something like that.

Installing 360 games to the HDD is great and all.. But I am still concerned on the amount of space I have left on my HDD. I really wish MS would finally lower the prices of their Hard drive's so I can finally get a 120GB!! Come on MS! You can do it!!!

If Microsoft can redesign the Xbox 360 to make it sleeker, sexier, more quiet, incrementally more powerful (think Gamecube to Wii), much smaller, base it all around Natal, and of course, RELIABLE (and with HDD out of the box), not to mention go fully digital, THEN they have high chances of succeeding. Not dominating the industry, but they will certainly have a target market like the Wii.

Or forget about the extra power, just re-brand the current Xbox 360 and so everything above, but offer current Xtards the possibility of upgrading to a Natal enabled 360 (but re-brand the new games as "natal" games, not 360 games; 360 would be forwards compatible, and natal backwards).
