Can Call of Duty: MW2 beat Uncharted 2 to achieve the best graphics of 2009?

The holiday season is right around the corner and with games like Modern Warfare 2 and Assassins Creed 2 unreleased so far, we don't really have a clear winner as to who will take the elite title of best graphics of 2009. So far Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is running the show. Many gamers have already give their judgment about the game; that its the 'game of the generation'. But Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is really looking like a stellar game which can give Uncharted 2 a good run for its money in the visuals department."

Isnt that why they call it the console wars? I dont ever recall PC being involved in the console wars. Also the PC has an advantage in that you can periodically upgrade your graphics card while consoles are upgraded every couple of years.

From the looks of things, i don't think MW 2 beat UC2. However, it ran smoother due to 60fps. If just counting looks alone....here are some games that has certain things that look better than UC2.

RE5:

character model > UC2, the animation is crappy though)

Fable 2:

Artistic and especially lighting > UC2.....you haven't seen a sunset in a game until you play fable 2....man i just spend a lot of time looking at the environment in that game

uncharted 2 is beautiful but MW 2 isn't even out yet so how can you judge unless you got a final copy of the game?? From what i have seen in movies and pics i think this game looks deadly.

Only ps3 fans would say NO so quickly before even playing the game. They are just scared that some 3rd party game might take best graphics title away from UC 2.

and it doesn't even come close to Killzone 2 in terms of graphics, and Uncharted 2 is on another level

FACT: 360 is holding back the quality of multiplats

look at Assassin's Creed 2 and tell me if you see any significant improvements over the first one

360 is maxed out and is holding back this gen

This is another fake article created in order to increase the hits in the web site.

Both are the masterpiece in each genre.
But...
UNCHARTED 2 have a spectacular engine graphic with a lot of effect and a native 720p resolution.
MW2 have a great use of SUB-HD resolution (640p native upscaled to 720p) with a lot of memorable mix of action and story.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Wafare looked fantastic! The only thing Modern Warfare 2 needs to do is...more of the same! JUST ADD WATER AND STIR! I'm sure this will look great, but all I care about is matching COD4 and World at War.

From what I have seen though, it looks a lot more polished than COD4. However, Uncharted 2 looks INSANE....and I am not sure if Infinity Ward can match it.

Even my wife who is an xbox fangirl says that Uncharted 2 has the BEST graphics she's EVER seen in her whole life. It's a shame that xbots have no respect for themselves when they bring multi titles up to compare PS3 exclusives in terms of graphics. IT IS NOT 2006 ANYMORE, JUST GET OVER IT!
