Uncharted 2's graphics have already been surpassed. Its called Crysis. And when crysis 2 comes out next year on the PC it will be surpassed again, and even the console versions will look amazing.

No Way, MW2 does not have even CLOSE the detail on the main characters U2 does, never mind the huge amazing landscapes etc.
Theres just no way, the only good effect cod has is smoke haha, which when compared to todays games for example (like Killzone 2) now looks cheap and unreal.

Still, that doesnt mean that MW2 will be a bad game, i used to think it was just COD4.5 but now really do believe its worth the purchase. Ill be buying anyway.

A game does not need good graphics to be fun, im not playing through U2 on Crushing because it looks great..

It will be the most actively played game for consoles online for months to come. There's no real comparison here, MW2 is the juggernaut of this year's games. Sure Crysis might still be the best looking game overall, but Uncharted 2 is pretty damn impressive considering it's able to be played on a console starting at $299. I run a Radeon 5870 and I still don't average 60fps in Crysis at 1920x1200 on Very High settings.

Also, the animations in Crysis are garbage in comparison to Uncharted 2, and dead enemies are completely stuck to the ground and cannot be interacted with. This is due to the fact that in Germany, a game will receive an 18+ rating for allowing corpse manipulation, however Crytek should have at least done it properly in the U.S. and other countries where this rule did not apply.

If everything goes according to plan, Crysis 2 should be the best looking game overall next year, when including the PC. Let's hope Crytek really updates their animations as that's pretty much the only thing holding back the first game(well, that and performance).

I don't own a PS3, yet I can still play games with better graphics. Isn't that the main point of the "exclusive" arguement? That a non-360 owner can play 360 games on a PC.

PC either counts as a platform or it doesn't. You can't pick and choose when you want it to count, and when you don't. Personally, I don't think PC counts as a platform - I'm just highlighting the N4G double standard.

Not exactly, the graphics of the games you play depends on how powerful your PC is.

PC games aren't stuck to specific specs for 10 years straight. PC games can always utilize as much brute force from the newest graphics cards available.

It is like racing a strictly stock car with another car that always has the option of being tuned up. Over time, the stock car will have less and less of a chance of winning its races against the car that isn't restricted to it's stock specs.

How that can be considered "fair competition" by 360 fanboys (who just don't want to accept that the PS3 has more power) or PC fanboys is beyond me.

Its funny because Crysis and Uncharted are both true exclusives to their respective platforms, while many 360 "exclusives" are also available on PC. So I still don't get how the unfair comparison of a PS3 exclusive to a PC exclusive in graphics has anything to do with what the definition of an "exclusive" is.

This just goes to show how illogical 360 fanboys are. They think their argument makes sense simply because both (totally different arguments) revolve around PC and consoles.

In their desperate hopes of spinning the argument back in their favor, they totally forget that one argument revolves around the comparison of a PC game and a console game, while the other argument revolves around what a certain word's definition actually means.

I'll admit that the PS3 is capable of slightly better graphics, but remember, it came out a year later and cost $200-$300 more - it should have slightly better graphics. That doesn't mean that the 360 can't hold it's own graphically. MW2, as well as many other games, prove that quite well.

@ slimdaddy - the meaning of "exclusive" depends on whether you consider the PC to be a platform in the same context as a PS3 or 360. Do you? If you do, then you are right, some 360 exclusives are not really exclusives. However, in that case you also would have to admit that Uncharted 2 does NOT have the best graphics, because some PC games DO in fact look better. Just because you think it's silly to compare PC and PS3 graphics (probably because it destroys the "PS3 has the best graphics" arguement) doesn't make it true. Look, I've been loving Uncharted 2 on my PS3 and admire what Naughty Dog has accomplished visually. It's a fun, attractive game. HOWEVER, it doesn't compare at all to numerous games running on maximum settings on my PC.

Almost every PC game lets me choose the quality of a games draw-distance, lighting, shaders, textures, shadow, anti-aliasing, vsynch, and more. Because i am running a high end PC i put all of them on maximum quality. No console can touch that and I say it with total love for my 360 and PS3.

Seriously, it is ridiculous that in speaking of visuals that PC is taboo.

I love MW, and I can't wait for MW2, but to be honest MW does not have a very powerful engine. Which is why it can actually run very well on a medium PC setup. I've already played MW2 early on a friends flashed 360, and the graphics are nowhere near UC2.

IW has a lot of great little tricks they do to make the game look better, but the engine itself is still not very powerful. When you look at things like the effects, animations, etc. it actually looks last-gen. Uncharted 2 easily beats MW2 in every category...character models, animations, effects, lighting, textures, etc. I've played both on the exact same TV.
