It may not have caught the attention of hardcore gamers as much as the other 2 but to say it hasn't at all is just stupid. In fact you have to be hardcore to own all 3 i'd say!

No I'm kidding.. I love my Wii. I play RE4, Twilight Princess, Corruption. The quality games outweigh the crap games. For every 100 crap games, there is 1 super ultra mega Nintendo game.

allowed me to put away a few consoles I kept out for nostalgic gaming. I was able to box up my neogeo as the snk collection disc has most of the games I have in retail form. Not to mention it has given me the opportunity to play the original sin and punishment. The wiiware titles are good if you know which ones to get.

I am stoked for the demo feature to come to wiiware as well as sin and punishment 2. I think the wii could get an update to HD if nintendo really wanted to. The ati graphics chip seems capable of doing at least 720p.

By that statement do you mean the casual money maker market? Because one thing is that your mother and sister got interested but another thing is making somebody like me and probably you interested.

It is cool that they liked the Wii-sport game because it mimic real life movement, which make the game easier and fun for them but for me that's as boring as playing.... MMMMMM I don't know, the point is that I don't consider that "fun". I need more complex things that make me appreciate the game. Things like graphics, story-telling, presentation, atmosphere, pace, etc. Core gaming. In other words. Where else would you find this kind of complexity? Definitely not on games like Wii-sport.

Super Mario Bros 3 was fun back in the day and really innovative for its time but we have to move on. And by "we" I mean core gamers. Wii has some games for the core but it is obvious that their main focus aren't us, at least not as much as the X360/PS3.

Okay, you try and get a perfect game in bowlking and tell me there isn't an underlying level of complexity to wii-sports. It's just it's in the way you move not mere button timing. Your still using a button configuration developed for the snes in the 90's.. who's behind the times now?

Indeed, what the Wii does that the other consoles barely try to do is make it fun for a group to play. How many games on the ps3 and 360 are centered towards group play in front of your tv?

I can play against mates online but for having a game with friends or family in my living room the wii is my console of choice. The only exception is Rock Band which gets a lot of use on my ps3.

That's what wii does right.
