I never got into rap or hiphop, I don't think I know one song by Eminem. I'm sure I've heard some of his songs on the radio or tv but I never bothered to listen to them.

I love how Infinity Ward said they hate the console wars....and yet theres a nice little 360 logo at the end of the trailer. (I also saw an ad on TV that said "Xbox 360, the best console to play Modern Warfare 2 on")

MS probably payed a LOT to make the deal for exclusive advertising. And that ad on tv is just desperate. Ps3 is the best place to play as the online is free and your console won't break.

are you kidding me? eminem made the video better. complimented the video and the demographic the game is aiming for (i.e.: popularity). also, the relapse 2 is coming out soon so it's probably another reason why eminem was in the video even though it was an old song.

every male in my family has been in, in one way or another. I myself am getting my PhD in military history. To my family the most important thing is getting your education, I don't really blame them. But yeah it was probably inevitable, i'd definately love to join when it's all said and done.

You shouldn't let a game convince you. Joining the military is a life changing decision and war is NOTHING like that portrayed in games. It'll be very tough so just think about it thoroughly before making a final choice. And just becuase you're family is mostly military doesn't mean you have to be.

The best way to innovate a racing simulator is by refining physics interaction and real word variability. State of the art simulators, like the one the military and NASA use, run telemetry calculations using matrices that take into account hundreds, if not thousands, of real world variables like temperature, velocity, speed, weight displacement, time, tire deformation (in Forza 3, this is being heavily mentioned), obstacle interaction, material damage, etc. The best ones have the most variables being calculated several hundred times within a second. For example, if you're calculating the trajectory of a ball flying through the air, you're gonna do a better job of mapping it's position if you're doing these calculations 15 times a second rather than 4 times a second. If you then take the data you've calculated and make a visual graph out of it, you're going to get a smoother line of the ball's trajectory, and a better overall image if you use the most data.

So, this is how driving simulators on consoles can be improved. Every iteration of GT5 and Forza 3 will likely run telemetry on more variables that can change the way a vehicle interacts. Turn 10 talked about how they also went and took note of every bump and every crack on the tracks that they were recreating so that the real-world experience of driving on that track could be accurately simulated in Forza 3. I don't believe that they actually did this because current consoles don't have enough processing power to spare for little things like this. But rest assured, NASA takes much more care in designing their simulators. They account for so many things because it's important that the people who are training for missions become well acquainted with what they're going to experience in space.

So next generation consoles will have a boatload more processing power, and both PD and Turn 10 will be implementing more variables into their telemetry. I think Greenwalt of Turn 10 said that they had run out of ideas, and I remember laughing because there are so many variables to take into account than just basic G-FORCE and heat displacement in tires. Obviously it was something he said to make the fans excited. On top of physics, it's always nice for the simulator to have nice visuals. Unfortunately, the fanboys of this era are a bit more blinded by good looks and less interested with the physics. I laugh at this because based on my experience with Forza 2 and the videos I've seen of Forza 3 and GT5, neither series has a very accurate simulation of real world interactions. GT5 is a little too lenient on racers who crash into walls on sharp turns, at least in the early videos more than 4 months ago. I remember a blue subaru crashing hard into a wall on a tight turn, and it merely bounced back a little and was on its way. This does not happen in real life. With Forza, the problems are associated with inconsistent physics. Although the term realism can only be used mildly in Forza 3, it is not as lenient. A lot of people on this site are familiar with the physics glitches of Forza 3. Someone more informed in programming can explain why it is that sometimes the game seems to miss a beat on its own rules.

God, you guys are stupid. COD4 was one of the best looking console games of 2007, and MW2 has improved upon it. Yet all of a sudden it's ugly, and supposed to be Crysis-like, while running at 60 fps, right? I can't wait for the major reviews and their scores for the graphics and until you guys see this on an HDTV in front of you. Until then, do me a favor, shut the hell up.

UC2 and KZ2 don't run at 60fps, now do they, genius? I'm sure if people didn't care about it being super smooth, then the visuals could be a lot better with 30 locked fps. It would probably look like Bad Company 2, but wouldn't play as good.
