Gamespot - Dragon Age Origins PS3 Review

When was the last time you felt totally lost in a fantasy gameworld? Dragon Age: Origins is that kind of game, so rich and involving that you are powerless to resist its wiles and whims, so touching and triumphant that your mind and heart will be moved. In the fictional land of Ferelden, you meet memorable characters and fight for a cause you believe in, and it's this backdrop that makes developer BioWare's newest role-playing game so extraordinary. Dragon Age is more than a well-crafted story, however: It's a lengthy, intricate, and thoroughly entertaining adventure that's easy to fall in love with.

About 360 version being compressed I read an article not long ago here on N4G (to lazy to bring it up) that 360 version is optimized for Hard Drive so that may make it look and load on par with the PS3 version.

Anyway this game look good and have alot of game time to consume.

I have a moderate PC, but I'm still think PS3. The appeal of lying on the couch and playing on a big screen is winning over hunching over my PC. :-)

Well that settles it, I'm getting it on PS3. And if DA:O sells well on PS3, expect Mass Effect 2 to go on PS3 as well. This is a test to see if PS3 owners really care about Bioware or not.

Also, I just have to point out that Bioware, a former Microsoft first-party company, is now making multiplats that, according to Gamespot, are better on PS3 than 360...lolowned

I am of the opinion that I would rather have a smooth framerate over more polished graphical fidelity. Nothing is more frustrating than a framerate that bogs down when the action ramps up.

I know it was stated that it was delayed, then it was stated that it would come out with the rest of the systems versions, but:

Ive been calling around today and everyone says they've gotten the PC and 360 version, and no PS3

has anyone found it for PS3?

Dragon Age is out on all platforms at the moment. Only a week ago they announced the PS3 version was coming on the same day as the PC and Xbox 360 versions.

WOW* Now, I'm impressed... BioWare first PS3 game better that a xbox360!? That's something shock about!!!???.

I got the game on the 360, it's not bad at all. The only problem I'm having is the frame rate issues, it's pretty choppy in some areas other than that it's a good game

15 - Either way, Dragon Age looks like a lot of fun.

I wish it came out at a better time. With all the games that have come out (UC2, RC : ACIT, Demon's Souls, Borderlands, Sigma 2, Forza 3, Brutal Legend, Tekken 6, etc.) and with MW2 coming out next week, I bet a lot of gamers are feeling the hurt in the wallet!

I think I'll wait for Christmas to get Dragon Age; just so I can sit down and play the hell out of it over Christmas shutdown.

I'm just hoping I can finish Demon's Souls by next Tuesday, and with how challenging it is....I'm guesing that won't happen!

Dragon Age looks like an awesome game, no matter what system you own.

And then once you complete you first playthrough of Demon's Souls and feeling pretty good about yourself you decide "Well, let me play 1-1 again in New Game+...I mean I am a bad ass at this game." Then off to play another game.

You then realize that the really did ramp up the difficulty to the point that you now have the horrified feeling that you must play through the entire game again to prove you are not a puzzy and that the game beat you.

Its awesome.
