All this does is keep people from beating the system in games like Search and Destroy. Your dead, you can't be telling you teammates that are still alive where you died from. Now I am not going to say that I have not used Party chat to cheat in S&D, because I have. I am not upset about this feature though. I actually think it is a good idea. Not all playlists force you out of Party chat. I know this because I spent most of the day yesterday streaming a live video of some guy playing all the playlists in turn.

I hope that at one point this will be a backward compatible feature as well. I hate when I play with my friends and some kid joins our chat. I can't control it and my friends start talking to him too. I just want to play the game. Also I get annoyed when everyone is in chat during halo and no one is talking.

When I play with my friends thats all we do is party chat. No offense but thats who I really want to talk to while I'm playing. I've found while most people aren't talking tools, it only takes one to ruin the whole match. Just chatting with my friends keeps it nice and pleasant.

For competitive players that hate people being able to call out locations of enemies when dead, this will be a good thing.

For people that like to chat with friends playing different games this will suck a lot.

Then again it all depends on whether or not developers choose to implement the feature that stops you using party chat.

Could it be that people complained about it... It can definitely be cheating in competitive matches. Look at all the games that have death cams. Your dead team mates could easy tell you info.

So MS is giving the option to remove that option say in Ranked matches, but it probably would still be available for all other matches.

The article is poorly written, the guy who posted the picture, wrote that party chat is disabled in SOME playlists. Not all - and I saw a streaming of a leaked MW2, where the streamer was hosting a party while playing TDM and Mercenary TDM. So if its true, then its limited to some of the playlists, not all..
