Coming from someone that doesn't have their head up their ass... I have both consoles, and the 360 version is better. Compared to the PS3 (pre and post patch), it plays smooth and looks sharp in all areas, with hardly any hitches or framerate drops, even in 4-player rooms. And playing with friends online is about one million times better and easier using Xbox Live.

Seriously, the fanboy defense is to say that there are more good games on the PS3? Not only is that subjective, it's irrelevant.

There's what, 25-27 million PS3's out there, at least 3-5 million are for Blu-Ray I'm sure, and the variety in games this year alone is pretty staggering. Borderlands is most likely NOT a top priority for most PS3 (game) users, well, at least not yet.

Not hating on the game at all, in fact I bought the PS3 version last night. Strange thing was, my Gamestop was all sold out! I grabbed the last copy. Soooo... at least people are buying them where I am. I didn't think the game was actually doing bad.

Yeah I simply think it's because PS3 owners have a lot more selection right now. I personally felt a little drained this month picking up Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 AND Borderlands; only reason I bought borderlands was because of an advertising mistake meaning I scooped a copy for $39 at Best Buy.

So I'm not surprised. This article really doesn't go to detail any further than what common sense would tell you.

If UC2 out sells ODST, and Demon Souls out sells Forza, BL PS3 out sells BL on 360, and RC sells more than the 360 version of borderland, then the PS3 support for those game would be valid. If the numbers show different, then the facts of the pass 3 years continue: 360 owners, buy more game because they average age is in the mid 20's (they can afford it); 360 owners buy FPS and WRPG's; 360 owners buy co-op games and MP games in general. Borderland is the perfect game for the 360 demographic. When I buy a co-op game, all of the people I play with will buy the game. Think about that a bit. Then click disagree if you wish.

Its not a bad game I have it on my PS3 the thing I hate about Borderlands is the fact your playing a game online the with some other great players. But when the host leaves everybody gets sent back to the main menu. The game should select another person to be host so the game and the group stay together and continue playing. And my other thing is those stupid robots they are annoying as hell when they say hey look at me I am dancing. Its a good game and people who are trophy collectors and need a little fun get it its worth it.

wanted to buy this game, but I don't have any money right now because I just bought Demon soul's, UC2 and ractchet and clank acit. I think the fact that sony had 3 or 4 exclusives come out in october alone would be a huge contributing factor.

Also, the 360 owners, i can honestly say, don't have much to play right now, except for odst.

...This game is an Unreal Engine 3 game.

Its already quite known as to how the UE3 engine runs on the existing platforms. Its not the "highest grade" engine in the world, but it does allow for "close" multiplatform releases.

I think all sony exclusives even 3rd party Sony exclusives should have access to a prioprietary sony engine, either GG's engine or Naughty Dogs engine. Maybe a conglameration of both. Obviously it would have to be part of the licesnse that "said" game would not appear on a competing console.

Why is this even news? The 360 has a larger install base, so obviously there's always more potential sales on that system than the PS3.

I haven't touched my 360 in about a month; too busy with Uncharted 2.
I wish I could find a reason to switch on my 360, I really could.

There's basically just too many good games being released for the PS3 right now, which partly explains the poor Borderlands sales.

i'm sorry, Borderlands, but you aren't a $60 buy for me. not to mention Dragon Age: Origins hits next week, and i have a gift card from Best Buy i'll use on it.

i'm an Action/Adventure game and RPG fan, and even though Borderlands certainly has those elements, i'm burned out on the whole FPS thing for now, and Dragon Age looks to be more interesting (and my wife is interested in playing it also)

i'm certainly picking up Borderlands, but probably not this calendar year. i still have to pick up God of War Collection in a few weeks, and that will probably be the last gaming purchase i make this year. all else will be picked up at some undisclosed time in the future (that goes for Assassin's Creed 2 also).

see, what happens when your console has a vast selection of quality games to choose from is you have to make some hard choices.

any self-respecting PS3 fan wouldn't pass up gems like Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 and Ratchet Future 2 for Borderlands. i don't doubt it's really good (a few of my friends have it and enjoy it), but when multiple $60 games are vying for your hard earned, and in this day and age, limited, money, i'm sorry, but i'm going to go with the cream of the crop.

HAHA bought pc version. half the price of the console version on Steam in Canada. (as a four pack that is)

But I would probably have bought it on 360 otherwise.
And yep, the only PS3 games I buy are PS3 exclusives or d-pad intense games.

It's amazingly fun to have all systems and be able to choose what type of controls you need for a said game. And for borderlands, keyboard and mouse are no brainer.

I like how the fanboys jump on sales figures and equate it to which is the better version when it's not. It was marked down on GS due to co-op not working day one on the PS3 because of a bug.

PS3 users aren't so starved for original content, we have a thing called choice. Borderlands in the line up of things is actually pretty minor, I bought it and I can honestly say anyone creating a fuss over it hasn't had much that's decent to play this year. It's okay, nothing startling unless grinding for no real apparent reason is your thing.

The 360 fanboys using this to validate their platform as being better only end up making themselves look even more desperate.

The importance some of you put on mediocre titles is mind blowing.
