Is World of Warcraft Dying Off or Losing Its Charm?

Associatedcontent: Blizzard knows how to make a good game. No one doubts that. From the Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo series have come the greatest profits in history for video games. World of Warcraft itself has a population bigger than most U.S. states.

2 reasons why i quit wow

1 - Got way to easy, there was no sense of accomplishment after defeating a new boss like when i first started playing

2 - it just ate up to much of my time.

So the author wants WoW to be Oblivion? That's the day I quit and never, ever consider returning.

I don't mind more interactivity, but I couldn't stand Oblivion.

The author sounds like a first person fanboy.

I'm sorry but most first person games are not even half as immersive as, for example, Dead Space or Uncharted 2.

I started playing recently - much more enjoyable than the endless grind I remember 3 years back.

11 - Badly Written
Want to know what MMOs really need? Action. That's what that poorly written article was getting at.

If a monster fires a spell or arrow at you, then you should be able to block or dodge it through the use of your own actions instead of depending on a set of statistics to decide whether or not you got hit and how much it hurt you.

Whatever it is MMOs need a revival.

I miss classic WoW. I mean, hardmodes are for the hardcore, but I miss when a boss didn't neeed hardmodes to be hard. It was just insane period.

Vael in BWL.
Black/Red phase 1 on Nef
Viscidus in AQ
C'Thun in AQ

Level 60 Naxx(all of it)

Blizzard just doesn't put out content they way they used too. Part of that reason was a very small % of the player base actually got into Naxx, let alone killed anything(again, let alone 15 bosses)

I like what Blizzard is doing in Wrath, and that's giving everyone a shot at killing a boss(for story purposes). However, what's bad is some of the 10 mans are tuned for people in 25 man gear, which is pointless. Blizz should make a 10 man that is truely a 10 man, both diffiult enough for your gear level, but not a walkthrough like Naxx v2.0

Even if Wow is beginning it's stall or slow decline, once Cataclysm hits the numbers will sore again. It did so in BC, again in Wrath. I stopped because of after so many years, I needed something new. Still think WoW is a great game, and will be so for a long time.

12.2 - Ah, yeah..
Honestly, though. like. I miss classic, but 40 mans were a drag, just trying to keep 40 active people of the right class & that aren't stupid in your guild was just too much of a hassle. So, really, I think my favorite was burning crusade. It's not soo nerfed like Lich is, but it's also not requiring the 40man shizznit. & It was harddd. Like SSC was literally impossible for a pretty long while. and idk. I'm also upset that there isnt' a jungle instance this xpac, like. ZG & ZA were my favorite instances, evar. haha.

I miss classic & burning crusade. Lich is just. meh. I haven't been on in over a month.

WoW started getting crusty right before Burning Crusade came out. Right when I quit. I quit at the perfect time.
