Yes I'm going to buy MW2 and I'm going to love it and then I'm going to buy AC2 the next week and L4D 2 and then play Uncharted 2 for the 5th time after all of that.

I hear ya there. UC2 MP is SO much fun! I'm a beast at Co-Op's Objectives. Level 35 now and this was just one game to day. I can beat this map and Warzone nearly by myself. On Normal, not that easy setting. I have $900,000 in the bank saved and many of the Co-Op weapons upgrades. I'll go shopping at level 40. I'll clear 10,000 kills this weekend with only 256 deaths to date.

Agreed, Modern Warfare 2 is just a rehash and I am boycotting Activision anyway. I hope MW2 multiplayer is great because that's the only thing that really matters.

PS3 has so many unique and innovative games coming out, I won't miss Modern Warfare at all.

And the server decision. In the long run though, I've simply experienced the hell out of the COD formula having played through three previous COD titles. I am simply looking for something new to try. So far I've been enjoying uncharted 2 and borderlands. Couple those with Dragon Age on PC, ODST, and Brutal Legend and I am swamped. I have new things to do, CODMW2.

for the first 6 months, then I'll pick it up used at a huge bargin basement price from craigslist.org, for the single player & co-op spec ops. MW2 online doesn't mean squat to me, the p2p net play has too much lag and is just too frustrating for me. With how fast the gameplay is in MW2, they definitely need dedicated server for all platforms. I can't believe with all that cash they are making, that they can't pony up a few game servers???

Anyway, I'll be too busy with Uncharted 2, Operation Flashpoint 2 and Borderlands for my online fix, until MAG & Battlefield BC 2 comes.

@Ravage27 (below)... don't forget having those wonderful new "death streak" & "copycat" perks, you know the one where you get rewarded for sucking at the game LOL! The game is made for gamers that are terrible at close quarters FPS. Essentially you could enter 1000's of matches and not do a damn thing but just get killed and still level up LOL!!! Someone should test that theory!

R&C:aCiT Day one
Rent Brutal Legends
Borrow friend's copy of Borderlands
DragonAge:Origins Day one
GOW:Collection Day one
AC2 Day one....maybe
Backlog -> Bioshock(nice game but was completely forgotten when i got Demon's Souls during the earlier parts of this year)

All while playing UC2 MP. I didn't sell away my COD4 a year ago just to pick up another one that looks exactly the SAME with a 5% difference in MP. Oh wow!! New killstreaks and maps you say?Colour me impressed....not. I have to forgo games like Tekken6 and The Saboteur, trust me i'm not going to be thinking about mw2 for a sec. 360 owners have l4d2 and forza3 to be busy with.

People who think that there is nothing to play without mw2 are either
(A)Die-hard COD fans <- my advice? Go check out the many excellent shooters out in the market right now, this isn't 2007 anymore, COD is no longer ANYTHING special.

No, and here is why. I typically buy a copy of this game for two or more platforms. I have the COD4 copy for the PC and PS3 and had it for my 360. At this time, my clan has been formed on the PS3 version and we have all decided to stick with that version. I will however not be buying the other two copies since they are not allowing for the mod community ont he PC and the 360 is just a time bomb so it is one copy for me.

Even though I hate Activition, I'm still a gamer. COD4 is one of the best shooters ever made. MF2 has the credentials to be a great shooter. I'll rent it from GameFly and if I like it as much as I liked the first, I'll buy it from them.

After all it is almost the same game except for new levels and campaign, they could have sold MW2 as DLC or an expansion pack.
besides that there is really nothing new.

What would you have liked them to change in the game that wouldn't make it a rehash for you, since you seem to determined to criticize them? They change it too much and people will b!tch about it not being what they used to like so they go off and say 'no thanks IW, Im not buying your game'. I enjoyed COD4, it's probably the only game on my PS3 that I got about 18 months use out of so if there's a follow up to that game why wouldn't I buy it. I enjoyed Uncharted 1, so I bought Uncharted 2.

Yeah, you are right. Besides an entirely new single player game, improved graphics engine (they chose to increase the amount of stuff happening on screen instead of actually improving the graphics), new coop mode. Improved multi-player with all new maps, perks, modes and such, there is nothing new at all. They should of just released a whole new games worth of content as a DLC pack.

seriously everyone posting here, hate the game for the publishers, not for what the game faults in(ie bad story, lack of multiplayer, and repetitiveness) but in the eyes of many people if its a greedy publisher "in a business world" then all games will suck.... also quit sucking UC2 d*ck really its the game to soo great then go play it!!! i played the game it is a good game and multiplayer but really you ps3 people needed a good game that when UC2 comes out this is the game you all needed since launch, that is why you all love it soo much all the other games were crap but you all pushed it to be a great game.
