This isn't the final version of the game, right? Cuz it looks damn amazing, but there are a few hitches that I immediately noticed. Nothing that cannot be fixed by March, but I hope they get on it.

EDIT: DAAAMMN!!! Look at the screens with the titans. That guy was right. IT looks like a painting.

How am I supposed to have enough time to play all these games? I'm still sucked into Demon's Souls and as much as I hate to admit it, I zipped through UC2 so I could get back to it. (Picture Chevy Chase in NL's Vacation where they run up to the Grand Canyon look for two seconds, smile then run off to the next stop)

Once R/C CIT hits I will have ZERO time for anything in life.

This game is going to be a monster. For the record, this game looks a lot better than you guys have seen from screenshots. At E3 I thought it looked better than Uncharted 2.

9 - The Gods are
TREMBLING in fear. They know that the Ghost of Sparta is coming, and that he will utterly destroy anything who is foolish enough to stand in his way of revenge against them. They know they can't stop the Ghost of Sparta, because they know he fears nothing. March 2010.

10 - Retaining the title as the PS3's graphical powerhouse title....
Santa Monica Studios better live up to their reputation. I can't wait to see how detailed their Titans would be when playing on top of them!

I don't really see anything mind-blowingly beautiful, here. When comparing games like Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2, this most certainly is not even close to the full potential of the PS3.

Stuff like this looks pretty average actually...

I'm gonna hold my tongue on saying God of War 3 is a graphical masterpiece. Hopefully we're looking at an extremely early build.

(We all know it's going to be mind-blowing, though)

13.1 - Well...
It's because you're seeing these pictures in very low resolutions.

Look at the detail. Look at the "depth" they've given even the color pallet. It feels like they're really getting close to what REAL textures look like.

It's like the first time we all played Unreal Tournament 2004 and saw the wood textures...and were blown away!

Just saying, the two games you mentioned above runs at 30fps and GOW3 runs at 60fps. Plus the promised scale in GOW3 is going to be mind blowing.
Add to the fact that other games in the same genre can't even stand close to how early builds of GOW3 looks like. It's really hard not to admire what Sony SantaMonica studio is doing, plus the game is still 5 months away. So yeah lets see what happens.
By the way even with that much scale and framerate, Kratos character model is the most detailed character model I have ever seen.

13.3 - To be honest...
I really love the GOW series. Got GOW 1 & 2 on the PS2 and GOW on PSP. But to be honest, these pictures doesn't impress me...I know its a lot different when its in motion and I know it's an early built, but I'm just saying that THESE pictures doesn't impress me.
I have faith in Santa Monica (I believe its them who's making this game :P) and that when I'm playing this game, I'll be blown away.

Framerate has nothing to do with it. I've heard nothing but "God of War 3 is going to be the biggest graphical masterpiece since the PS3's launch"... Well, maybe not those words, but you get the message. 60 FPS just means that they're sacrificing graphical power for a higher framerate. Which obviously is not needed by looking at Uncharted 2. In fact, most people cant tell the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. The only detail that really stands out in the pictures, is the lighting, wall textures and Kratos.

13.6 - @ arnon
did u ever think, in a game like GOW ( linear type of game) they could make it 60 fps, and Not need to sacrifice anything? This is the best if not runner up to the best developer sony has under their belt. games like Dante's inferno also have 60 fps, leave it up to the people who make games to worry about this, and have a little faith, imo sony has Earned it

Agreed, 60fps or not.
GoWIII is gonna set the bar high once again for action games.
like U2 did with action/adventure TPS.
GoW franchise has never disappointed so far and i dont count on it disappointing anytime soon.
Too bad no more Kratos.. (or so i understand).

Anywayz, from what i saw at E3 it looked awesome. But U2's color style made it stand out hella lot more (and the amazing voic acting)

Don't get me wrong, guys. Sony Santa Monica is by far one of their best in-house studios. From God of War, to Pixel Junk, etc... they've made nothing but good games. I'm just saying, that these screenshots are quite underwhelming.

Hell, I'm purchasing the God of War collection because I actually do have faith in these guys. I'm mainly arguing because I want to push whatever I can on this game so that it succeeds. I want this to blow my eyes to the back of my room and make me fall on my knees.
