Fifa 10 holds off Uncharted 2's UK launch day sales

GZ: "Fifa 10 holds off an Uncharted 2 onslaught.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves fails to top the UK All Formats Chart this week, with Fifa mania holding off the PlayStation 3 exclusive.

There's a number of reasons for this. The game only launched in the UK on Friday, so only had one day to chart (this weeks charts ended on 17th October) and unlike Fifa 10, the game has only been released on one platform.

We should get a better idea of Uncharted 2's sales in next week's charts, when the game has enjoyed its launch weekend and a full week of sales."

I picked up fifa 10 at midnight because it was £25 at tesco! £25 for a brand new just released game??? So many people were at the midnight launch because it was only £25 for first two days then it went up, all major retailers had this game discounted on the day of its release so ofcourse its ahed of U2, i picked up uncharted 2 for £40 thats how much it cost every where!

For the headline to be accurate you would need fifas sales numbers for ONLY the day of UC2s release. But if you had the sales for UC2s release day then the title would still be wrong. Since on its release it more than likely outsold fifa.

Iv never seen so many people at a midnight launch before, My friend who was at the midnight launch with me, he doesnt even play fifa but when he seen all the people getting the game, even he picked it up for the xbox 360 lol because £25 is nothing really! Last year i got fifa 09 and i was the only person at there at midnight because it was £40.

You think thats crazy about fifa you all haven't seen anything yet, just wait until a title called GT5 hits stores, And its only exclusive to PS3 so yeah check the sales charts then im guessing about 3-4 million sales on day 1 because GT is one of the Flagship titles the PS3 has and the strongest
