Does any one know of a game that went from 3rd person to FPS. I know games that went from FPS to 3rd person.

I think it would be awesome in certain instances, for example, you beat an enemy to the point of a quick time event popping up.Than, it goes into first person view (through the eyes of kratos) and you watch as he places one hand on each side of the enemies head and bask in the blood curdling screams and splashes of blood as be pierces zeuses eyes with his thumbs..

Think about that...wouldn't that be f*cking awesome?

3rd person view for the whole game would be a huhe NO for me.

Yeah, kind of one of the first rules of developing sequels is to not drastically change the game so much that it's hard to recognize it in terms of gameplay.

I agree. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I'll give this guy respect for wanting to think outside the box, but it would feel out of place, considering it's the end of a trilogy.

I wouldn't mind if they mixed God of War's mechanics with Mirror's Edge, just to see how that would work, but definitely try it out on a different project.

Mirror's Edge came to my mind as well when thinking this. It felt kind of awkward at first in that game - now if you take the normal speed of a human, multiply it to fit Kratos' abilities and then factor in all the impossible stunts made possible (and let's not forget the size of the levels dwarfs a human city any given day), it may become a bit much for any average player. Sure, they could make conditions to help the player "cope" but then, it would just be a Mirror's Edge copy. And I doubt people want to run a little back to gain momentum for each Cyclops they leap onto.
