My cousin's, brother's friend that has a friend that works for Konami (lead designer) said that the PS3 version would be like 3 times better!!! OMG I need to buy a PS3 right away! Besides being a true graphics wh0re and fanboy n00b, your making quite a few assumptions. Tell me when Sony fanboys can fly...dumba$$. Why do you need to prove to yourself that you made the right decision investing in $600 (or dream of investing). How about you compare the most recent Pro Evo for the PS2 vs any next gen system for the next 2-3 years. Last gen is guaranteed to have more content. I wouldn't pick on you if you weren't the first person to make such a dumb comment...and a fanboy no less.

If this has any ounce of truth in it it's a little bit worrying. I don't think that gap would be that big though, not enough to buy a PS3 for.

This game is huge in Europe so think it will help there though.It could be true but only because I feel that they rush the 360 version......but who knows!?!

It'll be fun to see your loading times...the time it takes to load will equal the time it takes for the next rubbish game in the series come out. The thing about football games is that they change the colours and names of football teams then they push it out to the people who have fallen for these stupid games. Suckers.

you can have 200 million billion kagillion gigs of textures on the disc but the thing is ps3 and 360 are 512mb (ish) systems !

unless ps3 can stream textures to the gpu and not need any of the system ram its not going to matter !

stop looking for silly thing and 1ups on 360 !

its clear theres not much between the systems really so do what i do enjoy the games you have, buy the new games you want.

just dont believe 360 or ps3 are something there not as you just leave yourselves open to disapointment and ridicule !

360 has great games !
ps3 has great games !
wii has great games !

enjoy reality and leave the p.r b.s dreams to the guys being paid !

i think you missed the point of my argument. i was specifically saying that eventhough the xbox360 version of pes6 is rather light in terms of features it still stacks up (appaerently) 7gigs of disk space so anyone who says 18gig is impossible should really need to reconsider. not saying that 18gig is necessary i am just saying that on record konami do seem to need a lot of space. maybe they should learn more on how to compress data.

not sure if it is definitely the case but i heard the xbox 360 version of pes takes up 7 gig and i know for sure that the ea fifa 2007 version for the ps2 takes up ~4gig. so pes7 for ps3 taking up more than dvd9 capacity is not impossible - in fact it is highly likely. like i said earlier, more space needed for mapping every player, stadiums and commentary.

in fact according to wikipedia these are the features missing in the xbox 360 pes 6 version - which is quite a lot if you consider the games supposedly takes up 7 gig:

Features missing in the Xbox 360 version
Ability to edit team names
Ability to edit kits
Ability to edit player appearances
Ability to edit boots
Ability to create players
Ability to rename leagues
Ability to move club players
Ability to assign national team players
Random Selection Match
International Challenge Mode
REDUCED NUMBER OF STADIUMS
Other training modes removed
PES SHOP
Replay Save feature, despite being listed in the game's manual as being assigned to X button
Online co-operative play
Snow and rain weather conditions removed
Match Analysis removed

Bear in mind also that pes 7 will be huge because for the first time it will cover all 13 full licensed leagues. So yes, 18gb is possible but i think the 3x better claim is a bit outlandish.

EDIT:

I can confirm that the rarred file for pro evo 6 iso for the xbox 360 is 6.3 gig so 7 gig iso for pes 6 xbox360 is most likely true. Hence, with full 13 league licensing, extra commentary and sound, stadiums, and textures 18 gig is highly likely. I don't think the 18 gig capacity is bull. 9gig limit of DVD might not be enough.
