Michael Vick Joins Eagles, NFL Madden 10 Obsolete

With breaking news of Michael Vick joining the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2 year deal what does that mean for the EA's Madden franchise. The first year of the deal is for $1.6 million with an option for the second year at $5.2 million. Our question for EA is when will we expect to see Michael Vick on the active roster for Madden 10? Or should we?

Or simply he wont be in? Adding Mike Vick would be like just adding a player with 0 stats, EA has to wait until THIS upcoming season will end then finally add him for Madden 11. It's not as simple as "DLC" and doubt they would go out of there way in trouble to add one character on one team no one likes...yeah I said it; Steelers all day ;-p!

No different than COD releasing a shooter that still use the same buttons to do the same things that Goldeneye did 12 years ago. Change the story, even someone come up with a new game....they are all still the same game that I don't spend another $60 each time($100 here in Aus). Yeah Halo ODST is going to be so much different than Halo 3. Still move, aim, shoot, throw grenades with a button. Still have to shoot the enemy, get respawned to checkpoint when you die.

Actually you guys are a bit full of BS . hell just looking at Fifa you'd see far more changes in 08 .. 09 and soon 10 editions than you do in some other genres , like fps (franchises or new ip alike) .

They completely rehauled their gameplay and online experience . hell even it's DLC , fifa ultimate mode , added some new strategic and fun games modes with player cards trading .

Pes 2010 is obviously way different already than the last two editions .
And the wii version of 09 was quite revolutionary .

Sometimes ago stuff like madden's "franchise mode" was unveiled , and it still some novelty .

I dont get how people can be so jaded and negative today , and pretend they still like games .

Most sports franchise have gone massive overhaul these past two years , instead of indeed as usual , being more of the same with updated rosters .
Hell in this day of patches and dlc that could easily updates team and seasons without buying a new game , they HAVE to be somewhat innovative each .

It's not even "DLC." It's just the regular roster updates that madden has had for YEARS.

Why the hell is this even a story? Players change teams/unretire/etc all the time. It'll take EA roughly 2 seconds to put him in Madden via Roster Updates. There's not exactly a controversy here.

It's not a "patch." You guys are making it seem like your going to need a "Madden v1.01" download.

It's going to be a ROSTER UPDATE.

Have you guys never played a Madden game before?

Every time you go to play online, EA ensures that you have the latest roster update before you can play.

So guess what? When the first roster update goes up, Vick will be an Eagle. CASE CLOSED.

the writer just wanted to be one of the first to talk about the news of Vick going to the Eagles....and this was a lame attempt to get the news out. I don't remember last year's Madden cover been considered a bust....and this really is no different than last minute roster changes as a result of performance during preseason games.

What about Donte Stallworth...He admitted to being DUI and killed a man with his Bentley after leaving a club in Miami. He got 30 days of jail time and suspended and possibly will be back in the NFL.

Ok what about Ray Lewis...what about Pac-Man Jones. Im not even going to get into countless number of NFL players that have gotten into brutal off field fights or casually beat and rape there girlfriends or wives. I mean come on, it really kills me...excuse the pun..that everybody is so sensitive to animal killings compared to when it happens to a human.

No one's gonna defend what Vick did. But he received his punishment for it. Now he moves on.

Strictly for football, and we're just talking about the teams on paper right now, the Eagles went from scary to downright frightening. You could line Vick up anywhere. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are speed freaks. Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy are nightmares in the open field, and they'll have Leonard Weaver run blocking for them. Donovan McNabb actually has some targets to throw to, and their o-line should be solid once they play together a few weeks.

If Andy Reid can put the pieces of this puzzle together...it'll be something worth watching.

First of all get your news straight. He was accused of bankrolling, and having knowledge of the fights taking place on his property. M. Vick did not participate in any dog training, fighting, killing, torture, etc. The one's that turned on him are the one's guilty of those physical acts. But just like any ignorant person they lash out with hate without facts. I have yet to hear anyone lash out at the family members of M. Vick that actually did the crimes. That ran the kennels and did all those horrible things to those dogs. Dogs by the way that were actually bred to fight (kind of confusing really). How is it that we don't hear anything about the people that ran that operation? No one's talking about them!!! Why? Because they are not high profile and no one would give a $H!t.
People like you are just too funny to me because you lash out about something without having full knowledge of the facts. Everyone's saying "its horrible what M. Vick did to those dogs" actually he did nothing to the dogs personally. So he is not the monster the media makes him out to be. So sorry he is not the Mansen of pets, or the Domer of dogs!!! they should make Madden a playable character, lol.
i find it odd, he can do a dog fighting thing, go to jail, then comeback to the status he was at when he left(being a pro), it would be like OJ going back into football, or bernie madoff going back into his profession, after like 150 years.
