but I know I'll never forget the man's impact on the world and how his music brought my family together. Tomorrow's not guaranteed for anyone.

Look for a Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits on Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

That'd be the bee's knees.

1.8 - I think the game will definitely sell...
Especially now that he passed away. This tragedy, from my perspective stopped all the bad conception that people had towards MJ for the pass several years. Now the only thing that people "see" and realized is that we all lost a very gifted and warm hearted person that almost everyone in the music industry idolized.
So yes, his game will definitely sell now that he's gone, along with the bad perception about him. Just like how biggi and 2pac sold albums like crazy even when they were pronounced dead.
But if MJ was still alive and the game released, i guarantee you that the tabloids and press will stomp on it like as if it were an ant reaching for your food at a picnic.

@vip3r " it looks bad to be milking money off dead super stars."

Tell that to puff daddy.

OH god so he died, big f-ing deal.Lots of people die every day why should this one matter anymore than the rest.He was bound to die sooner or later, I mean he was old and less than half his body was living tissue.

You know I noticed that this robot looks more realistic than MJ.

It is a big f-ing deal. So what lots of people die every day. He's not a regular person. He was a celebrity and one of the biggest at that. So what he was a little f'd up. That's what fame and the lifestyle did to him.

Besides, all the biggest newspapers, all the biggest televisions, all the biggest websites in the world have it as a main story today. Everybody is talking about it. He even caused the internet to slow down for a while. So no one cares that you don't think it's a big deal. It is. You're not.

R.I.P. Michael.

@BLuKhaos: It's a big deal cause he's a person that had strong influence on some people's lives. I was raised on his music, loved it for years and now some part of the world crumbles.
Yeah, people day everyday. But death of every person leave creates a bit of emptiness in others who loved/liked/admired that person.
And if at least ten closest people are sad cause of someone's dead it results in more than one million people being sad cause of someone's death everyday.
I can't wait when someone dear to you will die causing you to make a big deal of it. I won't be there, but you may then realize how dumb and short sighted you were. The world doesn't go around you.

I was never really a fan of Michael, or R&B in general, and I agree with Blu.People die every day, why should we cry over every person that dies when there are more important issues to worry about that actually affect the ones living.

Some kids believe anything they read i guess. people cant get into their minds that once he was sued the first time and payed to escaped all the media from talking more crap about him other people saw it as an opened window to get easy $.

By what u said, ur saying we shouldn't of cared when Martin Luther king or any important person died because there where more important issues to worry about that actually affect the ones living Lol ? Those people changed and helped a lot of the world and helped with a lot of the racist's problems we where having. Maybe when u accomplish 20% of what he did in hes life ull understand better

Oh there was a big f*cking difference between us and him. At one point he was the best known person on Earth. He is the best selling artist of all time and has the best selling album of all time. Not every one does that. We wont see a star like that for a very long time. And for all his personal flaws he was a musical genius. I mean come on. Do people still give Van Gogh sh*t for cutting off his ear? The line between genius and insanity is ofter line and blurred.

If they donate the money made through the game towards a favorite charity of MJ's, then I think it would be all right. I wouldn't guarantee that there wouldn't be ANY naysayers with that prerequisite, but it at least make people aware that they mean well.

Remember, too, that Sony owns Epic Records, who was instrumental in launching MJ's solo career, and we ALL know where that ended up.

As for GH or RB, GH already has Beat It on their GH:WT setlist, and all RB has to do is to get the Thriller album onto DLC. I would DEF. DL that even if it was in bad taste (not that I wouldn't frown at the insensitivity of it (again, they could do what I suggested above), but there's a lot of songs on there that I wouldn't mind having).

So MJ was charged with a heinous crime, and so what if he was guilty. I too agree its disgusting and horrible, but is it too hard to remember him in dead for who he used to be? What he did before all that?

Why bring up bad things at a person's death? Do you want everyone that knew you to remember you for the bad stuff you did instead of the good stuff? What kind of humans are you anyway?

1.26 - A few things...
1. Sony and MJ were estranged at best, and Sony is arguably one of the reasons MJ went bankrupt, especially when Sony failed to promote his album Invincible... much like how Sony is failing to promote the PS3 now.

2. MJ owned (I think he still owned) half of Sony/ATV Music Publishing
http://www.foxnews.com/stor...

3. MJ called Sony's Tommy Mottola "the devil" because of dealings that would leave MJ indebted to Sony for the rest of his life.

It's a big deal when somebody dies, you little twit, and the reason it seems like it's a bigger deal that Michael died is because it affected more people than the average person, as he is a music icon whom the world loved. You're clearly too young understand his influence or why it affects so many people, so just keep your mouth shut on the matter if you've got nothing nice to say. And by the way, he wasn't old, he was 50, and when a 50 year old dies, it's tragic, especially someone who's done so much good and has so much talent, and changed the world a well as countles lives. Nobody is saying his life was more important than the next persons, it's just that his death affected more people than the next persons, just like his life did. The world is morning his death, and we don't need your permission.

1.29 - To all those saying that MJ was found innocent
You are so wrong it saddens me. You can not be found innocent, the two verdicts are GUILTY or NOT GUILTY. You can only be found guilty if the evidence is beyond reasonable doubt. Reasonable doubt is a big problem with celebrities because jurors don't see them as people, but as a celebrity and it makes it difficult for the jurors to beleive negative things about someone they idolized when they were young. If another person did the exact same things that MJ did, he would be in jail. So I'll leave you all with the same thing I said when I first heard he had died: Whoo-hoo!(MJ voice)

You weren't the only one saying it. And if I was being anal, like you imply, I would say that you are wrong again, it is not a typo because a typo is the misspelling of a word, not a correctly spelled word used incorrectly. But my point was more about how people think that because someone is found not guilty it somehow means they are innocent. There is a difference and some people don't understand that.

You are simply making sh!t up when you say the jurors had a hard time finding him guilty because they idolized him... If you had heard the jurors interviews after the case, you'd know that wasn't the case. They said there wasn't enough evidence etc. although they did feel there was very odd and suspicious behavior on MJs part, they were only there to judge this particular case, in which they were not convinced of foul play. MJ clearly had issues, he was a child in a mans body, that's very evident from his interviews and behavior, and that's a result of an isolated life, and an abusive childhood. But it's not for us to judge seeing as we don't know, and possibly never will. I certainly would not want to ignore the fact that a child was abused by Michael if I knew that to be the case, but NONE of us know, we don't even have the slightest clue, other than what you hear on access hollywood and the tabloids. What I do know for sure is the incredible life he had, the amazing music he made, the outstanding charitable work he's done, and the heavy influence he had on me and many others growing up.

Since none of us know much about his personal life no less what he is or isn't guilty of, lets celebrate his life, not trash a dead mans name, it's low class and mean.

Edit: well jmare, in the same vein just because allegations are made, doesn't mean someone is guilty, and it's not for you to judge. Someone is cleared of the charges against them (of coarse we don't know for sure) and it's not your job to go around criticizing people for not assuming he is guilty regardless. There is an equal argument against the parents who went after him, but you don't consider that do you? It's easy to assume the worst of someone, but we don't know the truth, the man answered to the law and was cleared of the charges. MJ clearly had issues, maybe he had an unhealthy relationship with children for a man his age, but that isn't enough for one to assume with any certainty that he is a child rapist.

who cares about a child molesting freak. good riddance!!!

i dont care if you all think that the child molesting was false. those charges were dropped, but where there is smoke there is fire. money can get you out of a lot of things. O.J. murdered his wife and got away with it, so dont give me the charges dropped bs.

He went on a TON of avenues, including the gaming realm. He had the Sega Genesis game Moonwalker, he DID have another game in the works, and I was reading something about part of his Neverland Ranch being an arcade with games on free play (he was also known as an avid gamer).

Basically, anything that has to do with pop culture, HE'S had a hand in at some point in his illustrious lifetime.

EDIT: Plus, I don't know if this will matter in any way to the game, but Michael DID own a lot, if not all, of The Beatles music catalog, and that will have to change hands to SOMEONE now that he's obviously not around to make decisions...and...isn't there a Beatles Rock Band game coming out on 9-9-09?

Can someone fill me in on what could possibly happen there? Could details about that change now that whoever gets the rights to that might have a different opinion about who does what with the catalog than MJ had? Would it matter (since I'm unsure who gave HMX the green light for that to begin with)?
