If W@W was released right after COD3 it might have gotten to where COD4 is. That's not to say COD4 is better (far from it) but COD W@W is a really great experience and it would've been better had we NOT played COD4 which is still the superior game in the series.

part of me thinks that this only sold that much bcuz it had COD plastered on it...its like the multiplatform halo...i played the hell out of it, but only bcuz cod4 was my first ps3 game and i loved the hell out of it.

Call of Duty 3 actually sold pretty well and introduced new people to the series, partially due to the number of platforms it was one! It still would have sold really well, 4 only helped make it better.

Sadly, despite all the hatred towards Treyarch. 11 million sales is still impressive. Though of course riding on the success of COD4, Activision doesn't care about what people are saying since they are drowning in dough because of this series.

And for the WaW haters, come on. You gotta admit, they did introduce 4 player co-op and Zombie mode. Both of which are fun, which is what really matters.

How is Activision to blame? Did they stop people from buying new IP's?
How did Activision stop you and millions of others from Supporting Okami, Madworld, or any of the other millions of games that get made every year that people pass on?

Sorry but they only make the games. It's up to us gamers to support the right ones. When we dont we cant blame companies for ending their support.

What I hate Activision for is whoring out the Call of Duty name to another developer. I would have been perfectly fine with Treyarch making their own WW2 games, as they're certainly good games, but I don't think they deserve the CoD name.

I'm sorry Activison what's wrong.... I here you moaning.

To be honest it'd be a dreadful thing to see turntables in Guitar hero, we'd have to BUY ANOTHER piece activison plastic in order to do anything. The next Guitar Hero World Tour will cost close to $200 and feature the usually the differenc ebeing it will come with the turntable AND most likely any other cheap insterment they can easily add.

So what's the problem? Ask well....

Firstly, Actvision is disapointed in the no price drops at E3, that's right with them charging $140 for some cheap plastic while Microsoft are selling there 350 for $200 make you wonder.... How bad are activison... well I'm not saying anything just Gentle reminder.

Recently during E3 at a time when news outlets are busy trying to cope with Activisons cheap cash cow ins they revealed with little coverage that infact they'll sue Brutal Legend and Double fine. That's right they will sue prehaps the best developer ever made.

Let me get this straight, Vivendi gave double fine to make a game, activison bought Vivendi and because none of the titles are sequalability they decided to disgard them allowing people like EA to pick them up. And AFTER positive stuff from reviewers and gamers Activison feel like they made a mistake and are suing them.... Nice, so well done Activison if you win this battle you will be no better than the dreadful companies who release games year after year and ship titles out to other people only so they can milk the cash cow, just like Infinity Ward and the call of duty series.

So actvision you in my book are now below Ubisoft at being the worst, well done you really must be bad for Ubisoft not to do anything to improve but you still won.

I now won't bye prototype... I wanted to do, but after Activison FIRED abunch of good people I don't want to see these people become ever more dominant.

Also Activison are making the game it's called DJ hero, I know it's a cash cow but that's not my problem. Another company are making a similar game, activison tried to buy them they said now so they bought the publisher all this to stop competition.

By clicking disagree you are basically saying indie developers and new IP should die out and that big companies should release games yearly with little improvement. If that's your opinion fine but click open zone then just never for the love of god moan when COD 10 is release under the name Modern Warfare 4: Combat evolved 2, dexule edition with improved peripheral! Now what do you have to say? They have tried to stop two new IP's from coming out one because it'll compete with their game and the other because.... ermm it looks good.

They HAD Tim Shaffer, They could have asked him to make a physconaugts or something, instead the stop funding because his games have little sequalability.

I didn't buy into W@W hype at all and skipped it wholeheartedly because it's just MW with WW2 coat paint! and now, from what was shown for MW2, I don't think I'll buy that one either because they hardly improved compared to CoD4! I already hate CoD series for selling based on hyped alone and now they are milking the engine and paste it as MW2! sadly, it will sell very very well in the millions region albeit short of improvement and let alone innovation(remember KZ2 reviews) and will get great reviews for being another CoD! I'm not blind and MW2 looks exactly like CoD4!

as in 11 million people, are dumb enough to buy this game because they thought COD4 was great. So that means that they bought this game knowing nothing about it at all, and bought it because of the name alone. Your Prolly one of those people that think H3 still is the most played gamed on XBL because its called "Halo" not because it has an amazing online.
