Sega Encouraged By Yakuza 3 Sales

Executive Officer of SEGA Japan, Kawagoe Takayuki, has announced that Sega were encouraged by Yakuza 3 sales.

They did release Yakuza 2 (although it took them a long time), so they probably will release Yakuza 3. I don't even care if they don't do english voice acting, I would be fine with english subtitles only.

this isn't some open world game made for the 360 ala GTAIV. This game was made for the PS3. The environment is more detailed and open than GTA4 in every way. It takes advantage of the space available through blu-ray.

I guess what I'm saying is it's not possible on 360 unless they scale it back. So keep dreaming.

I have no doubt Yakuza 3 will see a release over here. It's gained a lot of popularity with the previous games and seeing as how a lot of gamers seem to be following it, I'm sure it'd do well outside of Japan. I know I'm a fan of the series.

Don't worry peeps. Y3 is gonna come to the west. Of all the Yakuza titles it's the one most capable of breaking out of niche level sales in the world outside Japan.

1 and 2 were daffy in that Japanese way (which I enjoy as i did noth games too)and while Y3 still seems to have that element you can see the level of polish and attention to detail is much higher than in previous outings.

It looks l;ike a cool ame with nags of variet and a better fighting system than before. Bring it and we'll buy it-if only more of us had got the amazing VC then maybe this would be announced by now! Sricking subtitles on it can't cost that much and most interested would rather have that than crappy dubs so Sega do it now!
