I racked up a total of 26 hours of online game time within the first 3 days of getting the game, plus the 6 - 7 hours i racked up offline. It took me months to get that much on CoD4.

So in my personal opinion, yes. But will it be as popular as CoD4 even if we just count the PS3 version? Nope - unfortunatly not, even if everyone liked the controls (I love them) it wouldn't do it.

Killzone 2 is the best shooter. But try telling that to the millions of people who have spent hundreds and Hundreds of dollars on a different system and you're not going to get many people who agree. At least not on the internet anyway because if you look around the internet the majority of video game websites are pretty full with pro 360 comments. This site does seem unusually high with Sony supporters and I'll be honest that's one of the reasons I'm here. No point in trying to talk to the group at other sites where it's just the blind leading the blind.

Simple answer.... No

Because Call of Duty doesnt have a crown to take.... depending on peoples tastes... they will like all sorts of FPS games.....

Halo, CoD, Rainbow, Killzone... they all bring something to the table and it comes down to personal preference...

On a sales basis.... Halo is king... since it sells 8 + mill on 1 console... which is ridiculous..... CoD... its on 3 platforms and love by millions as well... and bridges the gap between PS3, PC and 360...

Rainbow is more for the tactical gamer that can handle a slowed down 1 shot your dead style of game...

Killzone is another fun FPS to play... borrows a little from a lot of games and also bring some of its own flavour... it will prob not be as popular as some franchises... but that doesnt mean its not a really good game...

Anyway... what im trying to say is for FPS games..... its a lot about preference... no crowns involved.

If you have a PS3, buy Killzone 2.

If you bought it and didn't like it, at least you tried it.

If you have an Xbox 360 and not a PS3. Do yourself a favor, buy a PS3 for Killzone 2, you will not be disappointed.

Alot of the Xbox Fanboys are knocking it before they have even tried it. Trust us when we say this game is amazing and if you don't like the aiming please don't be a cry baby, be cause there's over eighty thousand individuals who can say otherwise on the leader boards.

All thanks to the Original version and the lack or Sony marketing.

But COD 4 is a game that has a much stronger legs and the franchise is more well known. Of course thanks to the fact that, more people get to enjoy the game, being a multiplatform title.

I doubt we will see KZ 6, 7, 8 and I'll bet you we see another COD title.
Compare this game as a whole with other blockbuster exclusive shooters, then we can get a feel for how strong it's legs are..

My personal opinion i'd give KZ2 the graphics and the gameplay i'd give COD the story an the MP mode .. KZ needs to work on the story i beated the game and the story is really weak and stupid totally am dissapointed its like playing without story which is really bad i enjoyed COD4 and COD5 cuz they had a gr8 story but with KZ it was a miserbale story though the game is gr8 .

i love cod4 and i dont think it beats kz2 theres so many fking noobs on kz2 now.. its getting kinda boring now that i've ranked up to maximum i wish it had a prestige mode like cod 4 or something similar the badges wont keep me satisfied tbh, i love killzone 2 but i will even more in a month or two when the noobs have "died down" lol

kyur there just running around with no sence with a rocket launcher not throwing out spawns or doing the objective, nothing and its hard to do it by yourslf if theres 16 on the other team e.g search and destroy what i getting at is that when i 1st bought killzone 2 people were doing the objective and it wasnt mayhem spawn killing

The multiplayer is amazing and very addictive;), i really like the futuristicatmosphere combined with gorgeous visuals, so IMO Killzone 2 is better.

But i was never a big fan of the COD series , the games are very good offcourse, i also didn't like QUAKE years ago and other people were in love with that game..

For me Killzone 2 was much better that any Cod game i've played, didn't like Cod4 at all, I actually like Cod:WAW more (i'm more interested in that time period.) Killzone is one of the best games i've ever played and i'm loving the MP. Just my opinion though.
