Sorry excuse for an article!
People have to bash anything related to Killzone!

I swear this game will fail the reviews because people will nitpick everything they can in this.

´´There´s a bug here, a pop it in there, ho,ho.. a frame rate drop right here did you see that?! The PS3 cant handle it! I knew they would have failed their CGI trailer 2 years ago!! I knew it!``

it's hilarious. When GTA revolutionized itself, when SFII changed the way we think of fighters, when World of Warcraft made itself a game some people were content to only play forever....these are just some monumental moments in gaming after subpar initial/early versions.

Now it's Sony's turn. Sony took MS' best shot and wasn't put away. In fact, despite not having but one so called "must have" game, the PS3 is still neck and neck with the 360 even though it's 200 bucks more.

Now comes Killzone 2. The game that even the most die hard 360 fanboy looks at and has to give props to Sony. Look, put the fanboyism aside and remember that you were a gamer before you became a loyalist. The game is going to be great. Stop hating just because you don't agree with some of Sony's moves or are just so in love with your 360.

P.S...I'll have mine on day one. Feel free to add me to get some gaming going.

LMAO..I uess this guy did not remember the beta and the postive feed back it got in its game play.This just shows that killzone2 will be reviewed unfair.First it was the target render will never look like the final version but now u can debate that the final version looks better than the target render so they now go to gameplay. he said "Initial reactions to Killzone 2's gaming principles vis-a-vis CES don't reveal much. You have to shoot bad guys. Turrets help. A building catches fire and crumbles. You employ a rocket launcher to blow open a door" Well i want to know how other %95 of shooters are.. :/

We at MS are proud to have PC world as part of our Media Outreach Campaign linK™ (MOCK). Here, they have made compelling arguments to the integrity of journalism; the term "the pot calling the kettle black" should absolutely NOT come to your mind....now or ever.

Never mind that if this game could run on a 360 (hahahaha), PC World (of America) would be orgasming into their 360s disc drives and sounding yet another death-knell for the ps3.

I will have to contact PC World (they are in the other room, shouldn't be a big deal) and notify them that the original argument against Killzone 2 was the E3 trailer, and to cry about the graphics now, makes us look like 2 faced hypocritical cowards.

I'm sick and tired of people like this guy still asking "how does Killzone 2 play"?

If you've played Killzone 1 like me, then you pretty much know how Killzone 2 will feel. Killzone is not a run and gun shooter, so if you play the game that way, you won't last long.

And the author goes on to say that Killzone 1 was hyped up in the same fashion, but failed to live up to expectations.... Look people, the ONLY reason why Killzone 1 failed to live up to the hype is because the game had so many bugs and issues in the game. Killzone 2 on the other hand doesn't suffer from the issues that Killzone 1 had, so basically that means that Killzone 2 is on the brink of being an awesome game and will not suffer the same fate that Killzone 1 did.

Greenterd - agreed. If this game ran on the 360, I don't think many of these questions would be asked. I imagine a slew of other, benign opinions stirring up fanboy sentiment in some way. Imagine how annoying the comparisons would be then. Xbots wouldn't have to imagine the comparison between games like Crysis or Call of Duty or Halo. They could compare Killzone to Killzone. Actually, I'm not sure which way is worse.

I think the comments to this story highlight the real problem that people are having with it: it's not news. It's another opinion elevated to headlining status, most probably due to the fact that we readers enjoy enflaming our easily offended sensibilities and waging forum-war. Any time a post asks "Why is this news worthy? Why do we have to read this gas bags opinion? Why are blogs passing for news?" the author should remember that they did indeed click on the article, increasing it's temperature, and they did indeed comment on it, adding fuel to the fire.

I imagine a world, seemingly unattainable, in which we readers show restraint, resist our lesser ennobling qualities and stop looking for fights. Let's start doing what we imagine ourselves doing - pursuing worthwhile and relative news. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

Seriously? You really think people are going to be making graphical comparisons to Halo? Even the fact that Halo and Crysis are mentioned in the same sentence with regard to visuals is mind-blowing. Nothing against Halo3, it was a great game and it did look good but it wasn't really considered a graphical showpiece. I highly doubt any reviewers are going to be comparing Halo 3's visuals to Killzone2.

Y'know, it DID and then Uncharted came out.

Agree with point 2 also, I played it on Hardcore first time around and went through it with a breeze, I really only enjoyed the chapter in the abandoned town with having to make a path of light, as that made a neat game mechanic.
But then I heard off a friend and looked up in reviews that all that element was removed in the sequel (which in my opinon was the best thing hit had going for it), so I can't be bothered with Gears 2, or at least buying it.
Marcus Fenix is by FAR one of the worst lead characters in a game ever, I really hate the guy and one of my flatmates recnetly got a 360 and Gears 2 bundled for christmas, he hates the feel of game and comically described him as a 'hulky bully and a utter t**t to his team mates, no way a hero'.

I used to really like Epic's games on the PC, they personally disapoint me now.

But when you read in the press, Gears always seems to be praised for its graphics. Which I find really annoying, because I've seen FAR better on the PS3 since 2007 of titles that didn't gain that automatic hype that sells copies.

I should of worded it as 'looked great...'

I can't WAIT for the disagrees based on this.

I wont go into the many things that disappointed me about Gears 2. I'm not trying to hijack this thread into a Gears hating session, but yeah I have to agree with one thing. MF (that would be Marcus) sh*ts me to tears. He might be the main reason I grew so tired so quickly.

Cliche upon cliche, you really cant bring yourself to give a damn about him. I think I like it better when they didn't even try to have a story, at least the magnitude of their failure wasn't so apparent. And surely Epic realise how unappealing he is too, hence the tacked on story of Dom's wife. I think Marcus Fenix is who Cliffy B wants to be when he grows up. Hes bigger and more badassed, (than Cliffy.)

But the main thing, that really destroys it for me is his voice. Let me just say, I love John Dimaggio. Bender is a god (he even was once) and I would bite his shiney metal a$$ if he asked me to. I also love the Truck Driver voice which is so close to MF's it make me wonder why I hate it so. I guess its context. As illiterate truck driver the voice is great, as cliched space marine, I want to play the game with the sound off. Probably the dialogue has loads to do with it too, with Gears lines amounting to not much more than C'mon, lets goes shoots thems guyses. If anyone had ever asked me could a voice sour my impression for a game so much I would have said no way, but here I am, standing corrected.

Just for the record if it sounds like I'm nitpicking, thats not the only thing I dont like about Gears, not by a long shot, but like I said I dont want to get into that here.

Changing the subject back to Killzone 2, I hope that it has likable characters, like we were just talking about above.

I really don't want Guerilla to be doing the same thing we talked about above with the protaganists in Killzone 2 as that would turn out to be a major flaw in my view.
I just hope the characters are more like the guys from CoD4 as I think they were brilliantly fleshed out, poor Price. Or even like Halo characters, I like the cast of the Halo series, I have a real feel for all the lead characters. Especially MC, Cortana and Sarge; such a great trinity of sci-fi, but believable, human in soul characters.

COD:WAW have been Killzoned. I finished the campaign yesterday in like 6 hours and it looked like ass compared to Killzone. SOmething tells me this is going to happen to alot of games after KZ2 drops.
