Warcraft Expansion Sells 4 Million in First Month

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft's second expasnsion Wrath of the Lich King has sold more than 4 million copies in the first month, smashing previous sales records.

Isn't it strange that some people can think that only 4 million sales in a month is poor. That's the trouble with WoW's success, it sets the bar too high for everything that comes after it, even it's own products.

With 4 million subscribers outside of China (China having 7 million) that means that the vast majority of existing players bought the XPack which is pretty phenomenal. Unless of course that includes China in which case it's pish.
