Some people won't be happy with this one. Let's just deny everything they said in the video and write it off as blatant lies. It's easier that way.

1.1 - HEY!
I am sitting here at work and don't have the ability to watch the vid damnit! You can at least tell me what I am supposed to be denying! Thanks.

EDIT: Proxy FTW! Anyway... slighlty more jaggy at 1080p and some questionable PSN moments other than that identical. I would dare say unless you were staring at stills the jaggie part wouldn't even come into play. I have played through the game and the action is moving so fast most of the times you don't sit still long enough to stare at anything.

Yeah, I'm not being serious about it. It's not like you will notice any differences anyways unless you own both consoles and a copy of each version and play them simoltaneously lol!

Anyways, 5 minutes into a game and you have forgotten about the graphics. You might be reminded at times if it's an extra spectacular title, but in the end the gameplay takes up 90% of the experience.

I agree with you. I mean, for people like me who own both consoles then obviously you are going to want to get the best version you can get, but if you only own one console it's not like there is such a huge difference that it is going to have a huge impact on the experience. You wouldn't even really know what the differences were unless you had them both side by side to compare.

I do like these comparisons though, because it helps me to figure out which version of a multiplatform game I am going to buy.

Was it really necessary to mention that the graphics of the Wii version are not as good as the other versions? These comparisons are such a waste of time on the part of these writers.

Generally comparisons do a huge service to potential buyers. Especially those who have multiple systems. But in this video it is completely unfair to compare the PC to the PS3/Xbox 360. The consoles are stuck with their hardware where as computers are ever changing. And to compare the Wii version as well, come on.

For strictly PlayStation 3 versus Xbox 360 comparison see this post on N4G:

It's not unfair.

The PC has the capability of delivering a superior experience within a reasonable budget. Why should it be excluded?

Eh, that is debatable. What is considered reasonable? When you think about a decent, low-end gaming rig you are still hitting the $500+ mark. Also, in the life span of a console the PC will have gone through 3 to 4 graphic card generations. So why again is it fair to compare the PS3/Xbox 360, whose hardware is 3+ years old, to brand new gaming PC's? It's not.

That's the advantage of PC gaming: it's constantly evolving.

Also, shop intelligently and you'll get yourself a good computer for cheap.

Here's a nice computer that'll be able to play at a graphical quality equal to the 360/PS3 and it's only $343.

Both games has been confirmed to have 2X AA at beyond3d, so there is no reason why 360 or PS3 is much jaggier than the other. The problem with PS3 version is you shouldnt use 1080p mode, the game is running at the same resolution as COD4 on console which would look the best on 720p because it is the closest to the native resolution. PS3 version use software upscaler that IW build which isnt the best solution and you should only use it to upscale to 1080i if you have to.

6 - I have a 1080p tv
and only my 360 upscales any game. The only way I can play a 1080p game on my ps3 is if the game is 1080p native. Everyone who has both the ps3 and the 360 will tell you all multiplats look better on the 360 because is upscales. Also, I remember someone saying that 900p was terrible. Its not, its perfect for anyone who doesn't have a 1080p set. Ive played both cod4 and 5 on both systems, and the 360 is really better looking and more stable online. Plain and simple. dont get me wrong. I love my ps3. Motorstorm 2 is my favorite game this gen. Im just calling it how I see it. I wish Motorstorm 2 was on my 360 though. I would love to see how it looks upscaled on my brand new tv.

uncheck the 720p selection in your vid settings on the PS3 and it will automatically upscale the game if possible.

His point is that on the ps3 version it is not always possible. Every 360 game can be played upscaled to 1080p

IGN is full of it, every multi-platform game that's on Xbox 360 and PS3, they make it point that the Xbox version is better than the PS3 version. They point every little thing that's wrong with the PS3, like the Xbox version has no jagged edges or nothing wrong with at all. They're really pathetic I have COD and the game is amazing, not saying it's not good on the Xbox version, but come on these editors need are losing their credibility.

Actually, they claimed that the PS3 version of Mirror's Edge was better than the 360 version, even though multiple other sources confirmed that the 360 version had better anti-aliasing and less screen tearing. I thought the 360 version definitely had the edge and was surprised with IGN's contradictory opinion. So much for their pro-Xbox 360 bias, huh? If anything, they had more of a pro-PS3 bias in that example.

But come on, in all seriousness they are not biased. Multiple other sources came to the same conclusion with regard to the PS3 version of COD5 being slightly behind the 360 version. It's not a huge difference and if all you have is a PS3 don't even sweat it. Enjoy the game.

I, for one, enjoy playing shooters on the Wii. Of course the graphics can't compare to the PS3 or Xbox360, but the controls are MUCH easier for me. I can't do jack with joystick controls with a shooter, but a pointing device...yes, much much easier for me to aim. I own both a PS3 and Wii and if I buy Call Of Duty it will most likely be for the Wii.

Notice how this article doesn't get as much hits due to the title not including the word "comparison".

10 - Two words
Dynamic lighting. Search for image comparisons of the 360 vs. PS3 that show the dynamic lighting. PS3 wins hands down.

Don't bubble me down because I don't have a link, or don't have time to go looking for it.

No, actually there have been several videos that showed the PS3 version had a few missing lighting effects that were present in the 360 version. The beginning scene in the hut where the Japanese soldier slits the throat of that POW showed flickering lighting on the ceiling of the hut in the 360 version that was missing in the PS3 version. So please don't just invent things to make yourself feel better. I own both consoles and I can tell you that you have plenty to be happy about if you are a PS3 owner...PLENTY.
COD5 does look better on the 360 but it isn't a night and day difference and should in no way ruin the enjoyment of those playing the game on the PS3.

11 - I just tried taking off 720p on my ps3
Oops., my bad, I see that the upscaling on the ps3 works,, but I still think the 360 version looks better. Also, I tried to play Motorstorm 2 in HD, and it went to 480p so now im totally bummed out. I think the game looks good, but I can only imagine how good it would look in true HD.

Trust me, I would love to see how Motorstorm 2 looks in 1080p. Thats sorta bootleg how you would have to go to display settings every time you wanted to upscale a game, and then its a trial and error. Thank you for your info though,, COD4 does infact upscale, and it looks great,, but it still looks, and plays better on my 360. Thanx for telling me how to upscale though, I really appreciate it.
