So it finally starts. Now I wonder what else these developers and other companies will put in to home. I have to applaud Sony for going in this direction, even with the delays and what not they really had a good idea with this home idea. Meeting new people, seeing some footage right on the screen and not having to Download it from the PS store or walk to the laptop/Pc/mac.

I seriously would like to see more devs taking up more space in home, this is really going to be an adventure in itself.

Regardless of how you feel about Home. It is undeniably leaps and bounds ahead of anything the competition has come up with in the area of social networking on your console.

Great, I love the red bull brand and the air show. This is the kind of stuff that i think people will like, so imagine you go to the red bull area, you have a game, you can buy tickets to the air show - nice.

This is exactly why PS3 will never charge for online.. Just like Nascar, Ps3 is offering space for products to be advertised.. You Pay Sony for that space.. Im in the Home beta.. I can tell you there is a crap load of people in there ALLLLLL THE TIME.. So each product can have its own area and maybe free mini game (like the plane race for red bull)..

awesome. I never pondered the possibilities of the non tech/video game industry in Home. Very very cool! Home is truly shaping up to be the next big thing in social networking.

Agreed!

Red Bull airplane mini game is revolutionary and once the word gets out you can see Red Bull ads in an ONLINE WORLD plus an airplane minigame PS3s will immediately sell out all over the world.

This is the start of PS3s comeback and world domination IMO

Are you being sarcastic? >This definitely won't make Home sell out anything. All this is for is to help Sony pay for the HUGE expense that is Home without making people pay(which is nice). I highly doubt people are gonna pay mondo bucks for a new console just to see an ad and to play a minigame<--(if you weren't being sarcastic)

Oh you are being sarcastic... Funny. Well im pretty sure the fanboys are gonna say it so i'll say it for them: This only shows the potential of what Home can do<--Thats probably the jist of what they'll say. I personally can't stand Home, I just don't see the appeal at all cause it so boring... but to each there own i guess

once again i still think some of the biggest advances in home will come from outside developers(both game and ad co.) and us the home community giving feedback to Sony saying what features we want in home. Sony has done a pretty good job of updating the basic xmb feature set since launch, hopefully they will do the same for home

When you connect to home there is a message of the day, now that message has been the same thing since I've been in the beta but what it says is what you are hoping for. It says that Home will be a journey, one that will develop and evolve over the years.

Your hopes that they will upgrade Home and add to it as time goes by will be met :)

There have been talks for years on how to put advertising into video games and I think Sony will be the first and most successful at it since I see no one else trying it out. Once Nintendo and Microsoft sees Sony's profit success with this in the next year or two they will soon follow. This is video game history in the making.

And the duck and cover system was already created in another game, but Gears made that a big thing.

Its not who did it first, but who globalises it and makes it Standard.

of"x360" No, I am not Stupid thank you very much you Ignorant F*ck.

Advertisments in Home is something the keeps Home a free service, Sony dont run of pixe dust they need to make money somewhere, insted of juicing the sh*t out of the Customers like M$ they look for other ways.

Advertisments bring in lots of Revenue, and cost the Customer nothing.

aslong as its done in a Casual way and no in your face then I believe its fine.

So F*ck you Pr*ck.

this is what people don't get that they are going to get soon. Playstation Home provides the necessary revenue to keep Sony making money on the network as to How Microsoft gets money by receiving those Subscription fees that they imposed on its costumers.

The possibilities of what companies and devs can do with home is limitless and I hope this is the start of a trend in Home.

19 - Events and games
Being able to attend events in HOME is F_in awesome. I cant travel around the nation or world for that matter to attend everything that I would like to. But with HOME the events can come to me. Looking forward to the first E3 and Sony conference to be held. I will be checking out this Red Bull space also.

As for free games, this is a great way to get people more involved and give away prizes that lead to you having cool stuff to wear and put into your apartment and also allows the promoter to cross market through out the HOME environments.

This all sounds good to me.
