"Hi, I'm a PC gamer, and I play on an Apple."

Kit Blanke writes:

"PC gamers know, if you wanna game on a PC, you have to do it on Windows OS. Yes, there are notable exceptions. The different Linux flavors have a number of games that really aren't half bad, and Apple is starting to come around to some serious games. But there are always exceptions to the rule. Because of the iPhone, Apple is rewriting those rules."

5.2 - BTW ignorant...
Boot Camp = Windows, on iMac which is far better than Windows. That means, all apps including games available on iMac.

And yes, it's about iPhone not iMac... Mutley... -.-

Yeah, and unsurprisingly running 2 OS at the same time (what boot camp does) uses a lot of system resources up that are needed to play games...

If you want to game why buy an Apple PC to run windows when you can just buy a Windows PC.

last time i heard, running vista alone eat up all resources... and that is even without the basic softwares such as MS Office. What more if that application is installed, it will be a freeze-fest!

5.5 - Actually Yes to Some
The windows version of Spore is OS X compatible and Call of Duty 4 is also out for Mac. Key PC games seem to get a Mac release (eventually) however I would never try and convert a PC gamer to buy a Mac because currently I don't think Apple are even trying to compete with Windows when it comes to gaming (And I'm not saying that if they did try to compete that they would suceed).

COD 4 on Mac came out like a year after initial launch, and even then it was plagued with launch problems. I doubt many would bother, was it even advertised? Especially with the launch of World at War so close.

I've never played it, but having played some Mac ports I can't say I'm surprised by it, I was merely pointing out the fact it was on Mac. But you would have to be mad if you bought a Mac as a gaming machine.

However (OFF SUBJECT A BIT) as a COD4 fan, (I play the PS3 version) I have very little interest in COD WAW, I don't think the single player will be to my liking, I've never liked the single player campaigns of the COD games which i have played, I prefer the more open shooters games like Far Cry 1 or Half Life 2 with a bit more freedom of choice, So the only value to me is the extra multiplayer maps, and I can't justify spending £40 on extra maps, I may get it once it drops in price, but COD4 keeps me happy

6 - this is a true story
i have an iphone and i bought my wife the ipod touch.....this is not gonna revolutionize the way we game, this isnt even gonna make a dent in sony or nintendo sales, why you ask?????

because all the games are the SAME!!!!!
either racing or shooting, puzzle or platformer, adventure or niche.....all the games are the same, they either play as touch games with a lil accelerometer love or they are full blown accelerometer games, nothing in between....and if i were a developer i would treat this like a wii, meaning "nothing i would ever make on this system is ever going to be unique, everything i would ever make would be a copy of something else because everyone makes the same sh*t".
so unless they decide to add a controller ADD-on to these divices it would ALWAYS play fourth fiddle to the ds,psp and now dsi.

the device is fly,but a game system its not.....

peace and game on

7 - You can run windows on Macs!
I have a MacMini and prolly the best thing i ever couldve done was to get rid of my PC. No viruses, no pop ups ever and if you want to run windows on it you have that option. You can run Safari and windows both and if you wanna switch between the two you can. Everyone i know around here have all been getting rid of there virus ridden PCs and getting Macs. They all cant believe how killer these things are. You people really have no idea do you? I dont see why people wanna even waste their time playing games on any computer anyways, thats what consoles are for. F@ck all that!

7.1 - Why buy an overpriced Mac when I can buy a cheap PC
Only idiots who have no basic computer skills let their computer get infected. As for popups (stupid reason to get a mac) I use firefox and have not seen a popup ad in a LONG time. And as for people that say Macs run faster, no s*** they run faster, you just bought a new computer with faster hardware. I could make the same claim for having a three year old mac and then buying a new pc. Its crazy.

7.2 - Why buy an overpriced Mac, you ask...
Well, the OS is much more streamlined, stable and secure. Important software such as the Adobe Creative Suite are far more stable on the Mac, which as a designer, saves me a LOT of hassle. Also, if you miss the gaming advantage PC's have, just install Windows with Bootcamp- contrary to an earlier post, it doesn't run both Operating Systems at the same time, you choose when booting up, so as long as you have a Mac with a powerful enough graphics cards, games are great on a Mac. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but I find them far better in every respect and other than price, I can't comprehend any anti-mac arguments, but then again, a Lambo destroys a Fiesta- same principle in my eyes. Each to their own.

Your comment rinks of lack of knowledge my friend.

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion and depending on your requirements depends on which sort of computer you choose, someone who uses a PC mainly for gaming is always going to choose Windows.

I've used a Mac for 4 years now, and not regretted the switch from windows once. it's a far more stable and streamlined OS and with Apples tight control over hardware there is none of those compatibility issues that plagued Vista's launch.

A PC is always going to be cheaper than a Mac, but my current Mac was £900 brand new, is now 4 years old, and I have no intention of upgrading anytime soon, that seems like money well spent for me.

I guess it`s like this...

Of course Macs are better they are X2 the price...

with that same 1500$ I could have a PC built that would Make you slap your mama-
and my brother in law could put all the cool software to make it feel like a Mac-
So for the same money a PC is still the way togo... Try buying a good MAc for 1k and try buying or making a PC for 1k...The PC parts are just so cheap.

All my friends with MACS really do like them-

And the Iphone is just so cool, my sister has one what a joy to use-
Good games on them WOW!!! but I can`t justify the 99$ a month to talk on a phone-
I pay 20$ and can call anywhere anytime(internet phone)

10 - You can have your PC!
Overpriced? What an idiot this guy is. Lets see, You can get a MacMini for $599, but thats overpriced right? Its nice to have a computer thats only 6x6inches and can fit anywhere i want with only 1 cable to plug into and everything else being wireless, youre gonna tell me its crazy? You can have your crappy virus ridden PC. Error and virus free, no stress and way more easier to use than stupid windows. Youre crazy!

"You think you're cool because you buy a $500 phone with a picture of a fruit on it... well guess what? They cost eight bucks to make and I pee on every one. I've made a fortune off you chumps, and I've invested it all in Microsoft. Now my boyfriend Bill Gates and I kiss each other on a pile of your money.'
