Resident Evil 5 Demo

TheSixthAxis: "Marked as a rumour until we get a proper translation, but today's Famitsu magazine says something about a demo for Resident Evil 5, with co-op, on the 5th of December. This is presumably only a Japanese demo, and we're not sure whether it's for the PS3 or the 360, or both."

Yep with PS3 we can get the demo easily. I don't think for 360 you can just create japanese account for free and get the demo. This is a huge suprise. It comes out so soon. If I was a RE fan I'd be going nuts. I still have my doubts on RE5.

you can create a japanese account on XBL...its just that MS will delete your gamerscore without warning, plaster 'cheater' across your sweet new avatar, spit in your food before serving it, and kill your dog...all without giving you a reason as to why...

mikeslemonade - I have my concerns too.

I really enjoyed RE4 (my favourite last generation game) but it was starting to head more action and less scares.
And RE5 looks to carry on that tradition. All the footage I've seen have you running around in broad daylight fending off tons of Zombies/Las Plagas/Whatever.

I prefer less baddies, more creeping along in the dark knowing that something is hiding in the shadows waiting to give you a scare, but not knowing when.

I guess we'll just have to see. I'm not as excited for it as I was when it was first announced and RE4 was still fresh in my head.

Did you play Dead Space? That was excellent! IMO

i agree with you in a sense. yes it's true that resi games are going for a more action aproach. but then again, no resi game made me jump from a good scare and i played all.
and yes dead space is a great great game. i'm on my second play :D

Well come December 5th, the game will only be just over 2 months away, plus they'll probably give us the same section that they've been using at the shows for months.

Hope this comes good, be nice to get an early taste. Thank god for my Japanese PSN account :)

I'm still playing RE4. I'm working on professional mode right now while I wait for my PS3 to come back from repair. Does anyone know how to get that awesome revolver that you unlock? All I know is that it's not the Broken Butterfly.

I think you mean the handcannon, here i got this from gamefaqs:

to obtain the HandCannon, the player MUST obtain a 5-Star
rating with all 5 characters in all 4 maps in the MERCENARIES mini-
game. For more info on this mini-game please refer to the MERCENARIES
FAQ at GameFAQS.

8 - Its great to have multiple regional accounts

I have an Japanese, EU, and US account I use all accounts pretty heavy. I was able to get all betas thru by Japanese account first then my US account second.

LBP got into JP beta than US
R2 beta was US only
SOCOOM was Japanese beta
HOME Japanese beta first and US beta.

I think the trick to get into beats is to use your regional accounts. I have been in ALL PS3 beta except KZ2 and thats EU and the funny thing I rarely use my EU account so I am not too surprise.

I swear this works.....when HOME beta came out months ago my JP account got an e-mail saying how sorry they were that I could not get in a pretty nice letter(used google translate)..and then its been almost two months later and I am in...

I dunno if this is likely to be on both platforms in december. I can't see why MS would do a Japan only release of a demo either while Sony would always do it if they had the chance. If it's true then I reckon it'll be Sony first this time with it arriving in the US and EU on both systems come the new year. Having said this it'll all be lies anyway.

it's a 360 exclusive at the moment. Of course that could chamge in the next week, but who knows.

They give us a terrible Lost Planet port (with a mandatory install, worse graphics, and release it for $60!), give us no trophy support for Devil May Cry 4, tease PS3 owners with "BIG NEWS" that ends up being Street Fighter IV...for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and now are releasing an exclusive 360 demo.

They expect PS3 owners to put up with this crap forever?

I love Capcom, but I can certainly stop loving them if this continues.

you can make a japanese PSN account in 5 minutes...problem solved, save the actual reading the japanese (although most japanese games, especially games that are also going to go to western territories, have a good bit of English already in them, as a lot of phrases have no true Japanese form anyway...Siren was a good example, the japanese demo was easily playable by any non japanese speaking person)...

that is assuming this is a network demo, and not a disc or something offered by famitsu...as far as XBL users...you're screwed...sorry...

hopefully this is true, and it is a network demo...i'll be all over it...

Capcom is located in Japan? I know there is one in America but for now it seems they aren't giving the US jack **** for now.
