NDA for PlayStation Home is Gone

GOONL!NE: "A beta tester for Sony has revealed to GOONL!NE that the NDA, or Non Disclosure Agreement, for PlayStation Home is now officially history.

It now means that all beta testers for Home, be that either beta testers brought in only for Home, full time beta testers for Sony and MVP's can now openly talk about the service which will be out by the end of the year."

1 - NICE
HOME became a success for me when sony announced all that third party support at TGS (why no square?). Add that to all the first and second party support. Thats why game spaces will be truly awesome. You can meet new people and talk to them about the game space you are in and then easily launch into the game. I think thats really cool and convenient.*hopes for RE5 game space*How sick is E3 in HOME gonna be? Now if sony can add watching movies and listening to music with your friends in HOME we have a winner. A small firmware update to add game invites (LBP has this) and maybe in game voice chat and PSN will become the best online service available.

after all that its FREE AND OPTIONAL!

1.3 - That's right
The fact that home will be supported by 3rd parties means more cash in Sony's pocket. :)

If nothing else allow more than one person at a time to use the arcade machines.

I tried Home on the weekend, I was quite impressed with what they've done but I also find it totally pointless, I don't think I'm going to use this feature. If I want to hang with my friends I will do it in real life. Playing games online with your friends is one thing, but virtual dancing? c'mon. Am I missing something?

1.6 - E3 in home is what has me most excited
To actually see E3 in Home completely modeled to spec makes me get a little giddy. I can't get out to E3 and would love the chance to walk around E3 virtually and see what all the journalists see. You have to admit, that beats out the updating text we all glue our eyes to the screen for when E3 comes around. Even the videos are not as nice as the thought of walking around E3 virtually.

1.7 - The possibilities for Home are endless!
Imagine walking around E3/TGS/Leipzig in Home checking out all the new announcements and playing all the demos.

Sony could also announce new Firmware updates, or just announce anything interesting via Home.

Maybe we can meet up with developers virtually inside home to get some information.

Etc etc.

By the way, I think they should add a Kart Racing minigame inside Home! 16 players can race against each other, and maybe there are even multiple tracks so more people can play.

There should be co-op arcade games like Time Crisis or something.

Anything that will allow players to connect with each other more.

All the right signs that the open beta is near=)

You now can play the home beta under any account

Now the NDA is gone

The beta was cool

You can play games that will unlock special items in home, games in home and regular games. I played some Namco arcade games from the xmb and I unlocked arcade machines that you can put in your crib and in your clubhouse.

Whats that its been delayed so many times I gave up on it!!! to the point I can't be ******......its where we all meet up.....only problem half have home on freinds list and half don't great way to welcome home.....by excluding the majority it should have been out sooner its pass it sell by date to little too late.....I still think with all the time they had they should have put all the features that they said would be in it........

Imo, they drug this out way too long. They should have just created the world as plainly as they can (without minigames, etc) with the ability to chat and enter games together from Home. Then adding on the features that were promised would seem like a treat. Now when they do it, it'll be like, "Yeah? Well, that was supposed to be there in the first place...two years ago." Just my two cents.

considering its a free app and not mandatory to game play, even though I wont use it much..its pretty dang amazing that you dont have to pay for this and there are a bunch of games to play once again for FREE

The Home beta got boring pretty fast imho. There should be more than what they've given us at this point.
I played for several hours and I'm not that interested anymore. I'll be back when open beta begins and hopefully there will be more included then.

And yes, it is pretty cool what IS there considering it's free. But after all this time, it's just a bit underwhelming.

Honestly, I cannot see this going any other way. Much like Miis, I made it, and never did anything with my Mii again after that in terms of design alterations. It's just not something that's gonna keep your attention. Cool that it's free.

Edit: @below
That's true. I didn't think of that. Hey you, guy above me! You get back over there and play your beta! You're supposed to be helping to fix the problems, not become one!

*Shakes fist*

Way to help out with the beta testing there, buddy.

Some people shouldn't be allowed into betas.
The purpose of the beta is not to entertain you, but for you to help out a little.
With so many people clamoring to get in, it's a pity a slot was wasted.

8.3 - I see what you mean
But it's still just a beta, so a lot more will be added as time progresses. It seems to me that they've mostly been fixing bugs.

Then you must not share the same vision of the future and what it could hold that I do. The potential is simply mindblowing for Home.

You can be disappointed now and still see potential in it.

Theres no doubt HOME will be amazing once it takes off, but like others have said, there still should have been more in the beta. It's been delayed multiple times, Sony has had time. Yes there are bugs that need fixed, but Sony is a big enough company that they can have a different team working on content.

The whole point of Home isn't to play minigames but to interact with other people. Walk around the courtyard and start conversations with random people. I guarantee you'll find some crazy/interesting people to talk to.

8.7 - Im in the beta...
and although there isnt loads to do its still an insane piece of coding by sony it looks awsome in 1080p and almost no lag with huge amounts of people in one place. Also one of the best small features is the chat box at the side so you don't miss anything being said.

Yes I'm not lying

There's 4 games and 2 secret games that you can get if you unlock all the other awards in the Namco arcade app. The four games are PacMan, Galaga, Dig-Dug, Xevious. Each game has 10 awards that unlocks items that you can use in home, things like hat's, shirts, pants, arcade machines to put in your crib, Namco chairs and so on. You can get the awards by beating stage's, not dieing, beating the high scores and ect. Also you get points from unlocking awards, the points will go toward a level(leveling up)system that they got in the Namco arcade app for home.

Um no it's not...I have no email telling me this nor has a Home Community Manager stated this either, just seems like some random no name blog trying to trick gullible new testers into leaking stuff lol

Because I'm a beta tester for Home and I'm revealing to N4G that the NDA, or Non Disclosure Agreement, for PlayStation Home has yet to change it's status until an email from Sony or a Sony rep says otherwise lol
