PS Blog: Get Your Own PlayStation Credit Card

The official PS blog writes: We've even sweetened the pot with a special introductory offer. Starting today until December 31, 2008, you could save $150 on the purchase of a PLAYSTATION 3 this holiday. There are a couple ways to do this. You can go to to www.sony.com/newpscard to get instant approval for your card, and an immediate $150 credit when you purchase a PS3 directly through the website.

Or you can go www.sony.com/getpscard to apply for the card and upon receipt of the card, use it at any authorized PlayStation retailer to purchase a PS3. The $150 credit will show up on your billing statement.

The holidays just got merrier. Happy shopping.

You could get approved for the card, buy a PS3, and then resell it and make all that money back! Wow.

Too bad Sony doesn't have a deal like this on Black Friday at an exclusive retailer. Imagine, for one day only, at Best Buy, PS3 80gb for 149.99. Chaos.

Does anyone know what normal reward system this credit card has? For example, it is a point/peny for every dollar you spend. The site doesn't seem to say anything in this regard.

i wonder if amazon is an authorized dealer? If i make it into the 199 black friday amazon deal -150 sony card... 49 dollar total for ps3 bundle?

anyways... you should consider your LUCKY if you not only are eligible for the $199 price from amazon, becaus eyou do know they have to notify you to let you know if you are eligible or not, but then even if you are eligible, you have to be lucky enough to be one of the fiorst 500 to buy it before it seels out.

I missed out on this deal last month when they had it, but I just applied and it looks like I'm finally getting a blu-ray player...oops, I mean PS3!!

Here's hoping KZ2, GT5, and God of War 3 are as good as every Sony fan hopes they are to help justify my purchase in 2009.

take a lead of the 360 fanboy I wonder does POG/mart follow on by buying the PS3 and enjoy as a gamers and stop coming to N4G 24/7. Speaking of POg/mart I haven't seen him/them that much anymore, oh wait they finally have "a" game to play, that is indeed great news. If you DO get a PS3, don't be a fanboy.

Just play the games and enjoy them for what they are. Don't be playing them trying to nitpick at every little thing.

Seriously, why would you WANT to have a bad time with your PS3?

If I bought a 360, I would hope I have the best possible time with it. I wouldn't be crossing my fingers hoping to get an RROD.
