How about we wait until GG or Sony confirm the date instead a guy from Gamespot "confirming" the date for them.

This is how the whole "Delaystation" moniker gets its legs--someone not with either the developer or publisher throws out a date and when it doesn't stick we get a whole slew of articles about the PS3 "constantly delaying titles."

Releasing GTA content on the same day as Killzone 2 is stupidity! Multiconsole owners that chose to get GTA on the 360 for the DLC are probably more interested in Killzone 2 than some add-on content for a year old game that they're most likely sick of playing by this point anyway. I think it would compel most of them to just go with Killzone 2 and skip on the downloadable content.

Great day for all gamers however I could care less about DLC Saints Row for me this gen unless they totally revamp GTA and get another out before this gen is over but they should forget M$' demands just give them back the money and start over or expand the engine give us customization exactly or surpassing Saints Row 2 with fun things to do and I'm in. Sandbox game of the year Saints Row 2. Biggest dissapointment of the year GTA4 lame and I don't want to be a biker. Bring on KZ2 and SF4 thanks.

to be totally honest. the last KZ on PS2 sold 4 million with all it's hype. and the way they butchered the launch of LBP, i hope they realize just how important it is to stick to something and push it. i'd hate to see GG's hard work just go out with a silent one man parade of marketing. This is the game to Herald Yes i'm the PS3 and i can dish out Games that the 360 cant. This is the game that should be all over bus sides, and bus stop posters, Movie posters. billboards, TV's and like MS did with the first gears Launch, Slap it on the silver screens for people to see with one of the new years first Blockbuster at theaters everywhere. I'm talking Halo/Gears level marketing because it's time Sony Has A title that can do halo numbers in the shooter realm, if no other. This game is the game that everyone needs to know because this is what made everyone want a PS3 3 years ago. from Today one we need to storm Sony's marketing VP about how they should take the world by storm KZ2 Marketing.

this game is extremely important.

I'd love to wake up the mourning of the 18th and hear that retailers are reporting KZ2 broke record sales and sold 2.4 million on release day, because the only other PS3 game which did that good by a lesser margin was MGS4. Come on Sony it's time you start caring about the work of your developers and stand behind them and soak up the marketing for them so they stand out... with devs like Insomniac, naughty dog and GG and evolution, and how there games have sold well before, I certainly would be backing them up with pristine marketing on a scale like no other.

But thats just me. i'd be mad if a game no one knows sells more than KZ2 on launch day. see rabid fanboy hardcore gamers on internet forums can only do soo much

yes, thats because they are envious, they, including alot of the media, are biased, biased toward the 360 because they simply want someone else to win a console generation, and this is natural. look at tiger woods for example, he has won so many times that the media f****** hates him now lol, they want someone else to win for a change so they try to bring him down, and the same thing is happening with sony. its friggin commonsense! duh.
