1 - "new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles".
That`s all great. But, will anyone care when it comes out and was it better for MS then making a NEW game. I haven`t picked up GTAIV in months, this probaly wouldn`t make me do it.

uh, it will also feature a new lead character, and a new story line based on johnny from the lost boys gang.
Add to that new vehicles, new multiplayer and new weapons.

What does make you pickup gta4 again ?

I just had to respond to what you stated, it was this:

"I myself didnt like San andreas, as I dont like rap hip hop themes.
But others loved it."

Now this is just one very silly comment coming from anyone who is supposed to be a fan of GTA games. I have heard similar kind of dumb-@ass comments before from people on here and in fact, they do not make much sense.

Tell me Foxgod just what rap/hip-hop theme is GTA San Andreas supposed to be about? I dont remember CJ trying to be a rapper or hip-hop producer in the game. There is only a few missions with that rapper OG Loc. 95 % of the game is not connected to rap or hip-hop at all. GTA San Andreas is a game that is essentially about street gangs and organized crime as far as I can remember. Rap and hip hop is just a major part of the game's soundtrack and this is due to the fact that gangsta rap emerged along with the rise of Los Angeles black street gang scene and culture in the 1990s (eg. Bloods and Crips). GTA San Andreas was heavily based on this culture and scene and that is why it has a major rap and hip hop influence in the game's radio sountrack. But if you dont want to listen to rap/hip-hop all you had to do was change radio stations. There was lots of other good music genres playing. San Andreas although slightly too big was an excellent, fun game with lots to do, unarguably the second best GTA title after Vice City. And you say you did'nt like it purely because you dont like rap/hip-hop themes? What a poor excuse. Or is it simply covering the truth being that you dont like San Andreas because the main character is black? Because that rap/hip-hop excuse is just very poor.

@ Steven Colbert - Yeah totally agree with your points.

@ Jenzo - I actually with agree with you aswell!

Are you an fool or what? I stated that the 1990s Los Angeles black street gang scene was NOT really part of the rap and hip hop scene as such. Gangsta rap was a product of the 1990s LA black gangsta scene but was NOT a part of it, it's just a form of music, surely you can see that. Bloods and Crips gang members do not have full-time gangbanger careers while doubling up as full-time rappers, it is normally choosing to do one or the other. The L.A. gang scene is simply what it is - a gang scene, a street-level organized crime subculture and thats what GTA San Andreas is based on. The rap and hip-hop simply acts as a soundtrack to the game and like I said you fool you can always change the soundtrack and just play the damn game rather than always choose to associate it with rap/hip-hop.

EDIT: You have shown me how your excuses are lame. I personally think you simply dont like the fact that the main character of the game is black and the games main crime theme is mostly based on black organized crime subcultures. Dont worry if you cant admit I'll help you admit it.

1.7 - GTA IV nice visual but Boring
At first when I heard MS announce the exclusive content for GTA IV I was hyped. I saw the videos and was hyped. I played the game and it has killer visuals but there was clearly a disconnect between San Andres and IV... Then I played Saints Row 2 and have no interest in GTA IV or paying for new content. Most of my friends sold GTA IV after beating it and gathering there achievements. So i'm going to have to back up HighDefinition on this even thought I tend to be on the opposite side of his or her views.

For anyone looking for a GTA SA fix i would say pickup Saints Row 2.

I got the 360 version pre-ordered since back in 2007 and I was hoping for my summer to be nothing but GTA4 all the way through.I got the game, beat it in a month since the campaign was a snore and regretted ever considering this a true GTA game.I'll see how the DLC is but when the game with the highest reviews in a decade is boring to me,I don't know what to believe anymore.

its matter of taste

some people think gta4 was a letdown, some think it was awesome.
Its because people have different taste's.
You cant possibly please everybody.

I myself didnt like San andreas, as i dont like rap hip hop themes.
But others loved it.

I'm a metalhead in both body and mind but I enjoyed San Andreas as hell. Gta 4 on the other side was technically impressive, but didn't hook me.

@Foxgod

San Andreas was not as shallow as being focused only on hip hop.Personally I am a jazz, country, and classic rock man and I found the soundtrack of San Andreas great.Whenever I stole a car in Los Santos with some rap,I switched it to the Classic rock station and Alternative X for some 90's music that felt authentic.

GTA4 did have jazz like Coltrane and Davis but the time setting and city atmosphere didn't click with the feel of the music, something SA pulled off well.

If the game was so next-gen,how come there were very few clothes?

Why did the whole city look grey except for Algonquin?

What was wrong with customizing cars which was a great feature?

How come Niko couldn't buy a business for his own endeavor? Was it so wrong that at least one business in all Liberty City was not for sale?

How come there no gang territories? At least in past GTA games, each gang had its own unique look,a special vehicle or at least a combination of race.

Why was there such a huge lack of interior environments? Are the consoles not next gen enough to provide us with some malls or interiors of houses? Even True Crime New York on the PS2/Xbox/GC had interior environments.Same goes for GTA:SA that had interiors of houses.

Its a rant but I believe a fair one.

the story.

If you like action movie's, it doesnt mean you like all action movies.
You can like action movie A, and dislike action movie B, while another action movie freak my dislike Movie A, and like movie B.

Same applies to games.

I think I'll pass. If it had been a 'turf mode' with new stores and areas that you could conquer and buy out I might have been interested.

GTA was a boring waste of $60 that I never even finished. Who gives a rats patooty about online modes when they totally noobed it out with autoaim.

GTA wins worst taste left in my mouth award for 2008.

So you were able to play online huh? I always got disconnected or had to wait a million years before enough people had joined my game so I could play. To me Rockstar failed to uphold the quality they once were famous for...

is what killed it. When so much money went into making a game, they want a broad audience. I have enjoyed myself with Gta IV, But as fun as all the 3d GTAs were it went all downhill with the fun factor after they scrapped KIIIILLLL FREEEENNZZZY. It got way to serious. So the missions are the same in every GTA. Fun after/during the missions has been left in the cold. But I think that is mainly because of the multiplayer, how many of you have always wanted to have multiplayer in GTA? I think almost everybody, but that has to come at a cost. I will definitely buy the DLC. And for those who want to have fun, Buy saints row 2.

had GTA4 for the PS3 passed it, traded it in, my bro wanted my COD4 for PS3 so he traded me his GTA4 and i traded that in towards GEARS 2. GTA 4 is not all that great. id still rather play Vice City if my bro hadnt given it to our nephew once we got the PS3 :(

16 - GTA4 was/is fun
Plus this DLC sounds like it will be totally different. The fact that it is focusing on a different character opens the game up to whole new way to play the levels. Hopefully they will take some of the critics to heart and really make this a robust DLC. Yet the fact that it's not a whole new GTA game is great because it will be cheaper.
I'm laughing at the people who think that a new GTA is around the corner, so think people won't get this DLC. With the way software moves on the Xbox 360 I think it's safe to say this is 50 mill well spent.

Killzone 2 hopefully will be what the hype says it is. So PS3 fans can play their games without hating so much. Getting crazy when every game on the Xbox 360 gets vilified just for existing.
