I just want to point out something, Famitsu is a sucker for SE games, If I remember correctly they gave FFVII:Crisis Core for the PSP a 39/40, while it got an average of 80 something from other reviews, if they think this game isn't better than FFVII:CC then i think we're in for a big disappointment.

7/10 means a pretty good game. anything below 5 is a flop as thats the half way point. Games dont need to be over the 8/10 mark to be considered good - well thats at least how it should work.

Whats the point in having reviews if anything under a 9 doesnt even get the time of day - ull miss out on alot of good games that way.

i would buy it on the 360 but for sum reason all games run abit
unstable on my 360 and it comes up a bit messed up on my hd tv with a component cable , i prefer the buy my games on ps3 cus i have hdmi on it and it appears much clear and crisp on my ps3

My mistake, I remember I've read that Infinite Undiscovery is a timed exclusive. Star Ocean probably is too.

If that's the case you should stick to buying the PS3 versions. The multiplat versions are getting better and better now that many developers are using the PS3 as the lead platform.

LR isn't a 360 exclusive everyone knows this...I think SE is having probs with the UT3 engine...but who cares....wasn't really interested in this game to begin with , bring on WKC...

JRPG's this gen has been a big let down compared to back in the "SNES ,PS1 ,PS2" days I also prefered when Square Enix was Square Soft they made better quality games...but w/e...Level 5 and Atlus FTW..!!

I actually look forward to The Last Remnant.

I've beaten every JRPG on the 360 and completed them to the fullest including side missions, last weapons, item searching and what not.

I love JRPG's and The Last Remnant looks like it will top Tales of Vesperia which is my fav JRPG on the 360 atm.

I was playing ff8 last weekend , I still have not finished FF12 or LO but FF8 was calling me back for a replay. It is true that these next gen rpg's have been pretty meh so far. Im thinking Star Ocean IV, FF13, and WKC will deliver but who knows. FF8 graphics soooo outdated but the story and gameplay make it worthy even today. Looking forward to Monster Hunter 3 too.

If you watch gameplay videos of FFVII or FFVIII, the gameplay looks downright horrible. Hell, if you play any less than the first 45 minutes of the game, the gameplay is pretty bad. JRPGs don't translate well to gameplay videos.

It's not Timed Exclusive, there's a month or two delay because of SE having issues with Unreal Engine and the PS3. They've never made use of it on the console before, as opposed to their experience with 360 and the engine.

It should be around in roughly 2~3 months at most.

Hmm I dunno where in my post where I said that the JRPG's on the 360 are better then the Ps1 RPG's...if you see it..please find it for me or even find where I make the slightest remark about the 360 JRPG's being better then old school JRPGs.

I've played and beaten

FF6,7,8,9,10,12 heh even a 75PLD/WAR in FF11.
Chrono Cross, Ephemeral Fantasia, Vagrant Story, and much more...I'm not new to this game home doggy lol.

Sorry good sir but it's 2008 going into 2009 and if I can't move on to the Next Gen and grade my games onto todays standards I might as well say Super Mario craps on LBP and Goldeneye N64 shytes all over Resistance 2 and CoD4

Yeah I really wish developers could capture the golden era through the late snes to psx era. There was so much content in those games compared to today, and most actually had some decent minigames even, fleshed out stories, amazing sidequests... miss those days. I wish Sony would release legend of dragoon and legend of legaia on the psn or even a UMD, I dont care, but would certainly be very welcome portable RPGs. I don't get the same feeling of depth and greatness I've had with past rpgs, sure some of it may just be nostalgia (replayed a lot of them recently anywho) but there certainly hasnt been anything of that calibur this generation.

Those retro games that we love and are epic just won't work in todays gaming we've actually grown to a point where developers don't know what to do with HD graphics being the now those epic story telling games are restricted and have limits.

Mostly everyone is looking for that Hollywood Cinema and violence and cool special effects and sadly that's what developers aim for and overall might cripple the story or give you no connection to the characters.

FF7,8,9,10 you loved the damn characters Cloud is like a god now.

You might laugh but I think Shu from Blue Dragon is one of the coolest RPG characters and his story had some nice depth and you just gotta love the kid.

If they don't give White Knight Chronicles (a game with better graphics, gameplay, online MMO style co-op and an original storyline, by the looks of it) a better score, because this game Last Remnant is filled with glitches, last-gen gameplay and a generic storyline.

Just another great JRPG for the Xbox 360. It's a timed Xbox 360 exclusive. We don't even know when the PS3 will get this game, which means that it will probably be a while. PS3 owners must sure love "sloppy seconds" because they sure get a lot of them. And half the time even after PS3 owners have waited a year to finally get a game it often turns out looking and performing worse on the PS3. Bioshock comes to mind.

BTW, I own both consoles and the only reason I am being harsh about it is because I am sick of all the PS3 fanboy BS on this site. PS3 fanboys far outnumber everybody else and are always talking crap. So I don't feel like going easy on them.
