It would be cool to have damage in the game but honestly I have noticed it has kept the kids out of the game that only want to wreck the cars and ruin perfectly good races. That has always been a bad part of Forza and Forza 2. Too many trackers and crashers.

You know he could make a fake picture, send it to his PS3, view it on tv, and take the picture, it wouldn't be so hard.

could be that they photoshopped on a PC, then copied it to the PS3 and took a picture while its on a tv...

looks kinda real, but i think Polyphony Digital woulda stuck this on there website (or even news to say they are working on it) before this pic turnt up...

I don't think they'll bother releasing the update this year if it's taking this long. That picture looks fake too.

But I honestly think damage wont make GT5 Prologue.BUT will the final game.I mean,Im still waiting for a 2004 PSP GT4 mobile.So. . .I wouldnt expect damage any time soon.

I hope it's fake aswell as I really want them to just concentrate on releasing GT 5 already!
Sony should really take out the whip when it comes to their first party developers. I mean they've had FOUR YEARS TO WORK ON THIS! + they were supposed to release GT Mobile! Seriously though by the time they release the game i'd imagine the car roster would already be old.
Heck we could be driving hovercars by the time they release this.

18 - Hope its true as that would be the one piece of the two pieces of the puzzle missing to make this the perfect next gen racer
Got this with my Ps3 along with unchartered,ractod and HS. The racing is brilliant even with this demo i have to say that Gt is still the best racer when it comes to the sheer drving exp.

The graphics,the game play and the presentation are superb. Even though this sis a demo im addicted and gonna get a wheel just for it.

P.s I actually now believe that the Ps3 is a beast of a console on a hd tv the graphics and animations speak for them selves on the exc games. Im still trully in awe of unchartered,Hs,ractod and Gtp and just downloaded wipeout hd(wow just wow!).

That's fake but don't worry people, damage is confirmed. Yamauchi also confirmed that damage has been taken into account when developing this game so you haven't seen the full potential of the PS3 with Gran Turismo yet. They plan to do damage realistically not half-*ssed like some other racers out there.

Too bad it's fake though...

I can only dream of crashes being incorporated in the GT universe..
Well, it's already been confirmed, but we'll be lucky if this game makes '09.

But there was talks in the past about them eventually adding in car model damaing and custom soundtracks to Prologue.....so it could be something is coming down the pike....as soon as they add those two options, I'll purchase the game.

i've played every gt game to date but i have to say that gt5 is not going to be as successful as people think.

prologue to me is a huge failure.

other racing game developers have stepped up and pretty much taken over.

why are we waiting on damage and weather and other realistic things to happen in the gt series when they already exist in others? forza2, grid, burnout paradise, now midnight club.. granted.. they aren't all racing simulation games, i think the point here is that the gran turismo team has basically screwed up the franchise by giving us too little too late.

really, as of right now, who's waiting for gt5 anymore? i know i'm not, and i've supported them since day 1

Did you ever play the Prologue for 4?

Turned out to be very unlike the final game.

The same will be true of 5. It's a Prologue, an "introduction", a taste of what's to come.

Bare in mind it's missing the customisation options, license tests, damage, the rest of the cars/tracks/events.

Graphics will improve, handling will improve and track detail will improve.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue should be judged as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, not Gran Turismo 5. And from GT5, I think the series is in safe hands, because I still have more fun with it than any other racer.

I will not argue with you about that it's a fact :) (rFactor is on second place)

Why i'm waiting for GT5 ?

GTTV --> kick ass
more than 1k cars (gt4 has over 700)
lots of good tracks like laguna seca
amazing graphic&Sound (find better ? NONE!)
57 Nissan Skylines types :) (my favorite)
jazz music in manu (it's perfect for GT :) )
For ALL cars Car interiors :)
Perfect for best racing wheel ever (G25) yes cluth and gears !

And whole galaxy of things which we don't know till premiere.

Badly photoshopped, but still believe that it will be in the Prologue Series which they will put-in damage-mode ( maybe via download update content ) just to see what is needed to improve on it further once the Full Version GT5's out.
