IGN: Saints Row 2 Review

When people see Saints Row 2 they'll instantly think of Grand Theft Auto IV. It's inevitable. It moves similarly, the scenes have the same saturated lighting and there are several parallels that can be drawn between the gameplay of the two. Heck, the text is even color coded in a similar way for mission objectives. But, be warned, Saints Row 2 is most certainly not GTA.

I actually wanted more stations, more varied missions, and fun diversion in GTAiV. I got nothing from it.

I was joking, but I will be buying this just not on day one. I especially love the 80's tracks on it, so those are really what is making me buy this game. I just hope PS3 has custom soundtracks because I do need my NIN.

And,I dont really care what reviews say.I would pick up SR2 at some point,like I did SR1 without knowing what the hell it was about.but,graphically GTA4 kicks SR2,but gameplay SR2 totally smashes GTA4. btw When IGN gives a 10 to GTA4. . .They did it,cuz they expectd everyone else to.Or maybe lol financial kickbacks lol cuz when I knew GTA san andreas was a better game than GTA4,I personally gave GTA4 a 6 or 7 out of 10.and thats for the great graphics and good story.it loses four points for all the stuff I thought it would have from San Andreas and WONDERING AROUND LIKE AN IDIOT after the main game is over loaded with money you stole from a bank with nothing to buy!

anyway, still a day one purchase and mark my words, SR2 will be more FUN then GTA4, probably in multiplayer as well

and for the love of god, rent it, download the demo (if one comes out) try your friends copy and come to your OWN conclusions but dont take the word of biased fanboys please!

Overrated, the company that developed it just didn't pay the check to get the 10/10s from ign. Unlike GTAIV's case, wich was a bought 10/10. Thats the first time I saw IGN sell their scores. Their Other 10/10s are fine (Ocarina of Time, Soul Calibur, MGS4, those 3 deserve 100000/10)
