1 - Nice..but
Wat is it with these devs recently?? Capcom seem to be thinking the same bad idea`s as Squeenix. Resident Evil Remake is IMO one of the very few games from the last gen that stands up against most current gen games, it could have easliy been given the hi-def treatment and released for 360 & PS3.

If i was running Capcom i would remake the whole RE series (which took place in Raccon City) into 3 parts and called it Resident Evil: The Raccon City Incident

1.1 - Resident Evil: The Raccon City Incident
That idea is completely similar to the Umbrella Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii that was a great rail shooter

This version of RE was probably the best in the series. It was an amazing remake of the first game.

I am sure that I will beat it yet again on yet another system. Game is pretty damn good so what's not to like.

2 - It looks great.
I don't see why any long time fan of the series wouldn't want this.

@ below:
I definitely agree that something new would be nice. Even so, at least they are going all out with the graphics. (From a Wii standpoint that is)

Most of us "long time fans" have already played on the gamecube. I agree with Marlec (post #1) that they should have ported this to other consoles. I would have bought this and RE Zero in heart beat...but I guess there would be almost no effort having to port this from Gamecube to Wii, quick ca$h in their pockets!

I already have the Gamecube verision, but this game still looks good to this day. And to think, it came out in 2002...it was really epic then.

5.1 - You get RE5
Wii owners don't. Unless they own another system. Honestly, I would like it if they gave Wii owners RE5 with a ramped up RE4 engine and gave the other systems good remakes of the classics, but what is, is.

RE 5 isn't coming to the Wii, it was just a rumor. I think there is a petition to bring it to Wii, though.

But still i dont get it why they have to get the re-remake of the game... its totally pointless... but i guess you're right, thats how the things are... :(

well the fact that nintendo and capcom signed a deal to get the gamecube resident evils might have something to do with it not to mention all the resident evils and then some have been on a nintendo console

you should give up on this going to the 360 or ps3 it ain't happening

7 - can somebody please confirm
is this going to be a port of the gamecube remake, or is this a new remake for the wii?

edit: i just did a little google and it seems its just a port with added wii controls... i'll probably get it seeing as i didn't play the gamecube remake

7.1 - yea man?
i was just wondering the same thing, like did they just put Wii controls on it like RE4?, I was hoping maybe they would fix the atrocious camera angles, then i would definitely give it a go!

Is it going to have the over the shoulder perspective or the classic mounted-camera thing?
Basically is it just going to be a straight port.
I still kind of wish RE5 was coming to Wii.

I see nothing new from these screen shots. Before saying "I'll take it!" I want to see what they are actually doing with it. For all we know, those screens just came from the GameCube version, which is probably the case.
