Anybody noticed how efficient the AA is.

Even though the video is small I can't spot any Aliasing.
Might have Aliasing in a bigger video but I can see it's very efficient.

Bigger multiplayer 60 vs 10 (Xbox fans will say size doesn't matter-any girl will tell you otherwise- but Resistance 2 gives you the option to play a smaller game and a bigger game, Gears 2 doesn't because you're limited 10 players)

In sales is a different story we have 10 exclusive games to expend our money, you got....you got.... GeoW2 and...,and... fable2, so its not a big surprise if R2 sells less than GeoW2 after all we have many more games to look forward than you do.

Gears 2 looks great. But its still grey. This game has better color and lighting. The textures seem around the same level to me. Plus its massive compared to Gears. That's why I think it looks better.

Gears2 is made on the Unreal Engine 3, many games work on the UE due to it being licensed as middleware.
The UE has been perfected for years (about 8 or so) and has a special department of Epic just working on the next installment of the UE alone as a product, so a that's a bit of an unfair judgment.

We all know that Gears2 if it was, hypothetically, on the PS3 would look equally as good or even possibly better due to pretty much identical ports of games using the UE3 as middleware on the PS3, they certainly don't look worse and because the UE3 is middleware, other developers have the potential of using the technicalities of UE3 to make games that will look equal or better than Gears2 multiplatform once the next improved version of UE3 is commercially released as middleware.

But I didn't really like Gears of War much anyway and don't understand how it is at a Halo-like status, just as soon as the game was released. I personally enjoyed Uncharted more because of the better animation, characters, narrative, less focus on brutal gore and the feeling of exploration.

Killzone2 has been developed right from the end of Killzone1 for PS2, so its bound to have a more technically impressive engine due to more time and Killzone1, despite not that great in gameplay was technically impressive on the PS2.

But for the limited time Insomniac have had to work on Resistance 2 around other games, its looking brilliant. I can't wait to play it. Resistance1 was great fun and improving that original formula can only be brilliant.

resistance 2 is actually supporting some really good graphics now.

Great size and draw distance, nice textures, great lighting ( cutousy of Sony studios ) and some great designs.

Gears 2, is much smaller in scale. the maps have less draw distance in terms of what's actually playable in. The textures are good but it's a 3rd person shooter, textures are much more noticable in FPS and the lighting isn't as good if you ask me.

Overall to me they're on par really. both look Great, but people really need to stop bagging on R2

That beta is not even up to date yet.
The lighting just recently got changed.
adequate you must be playing Crysis 24/7 on a 4870 x2s.

The lighting is way better then other fps coming out this year and Gears 2.

let them be happy lol, and it does look good ,shows what can be done when a descent Dev team get to work.I've played the first GOW and enjoyed it, will play the second at some point,but this has got me excited more so than GOW2 and you nust admit looks miles better than the first RFOM for me this is a must buy : )

honestly.. this game looks like it belongs on the PS1. Graphics are very dull, no color at all, and controls seem VERY clunky. But I guess Sony desperately needs their own "Halo" then they'll do any means to get it.. even if it means making another crappy Resistance game. Sigh.. when will Sony learn.
