The 360 version is just more polished. But you also have to remember the Unreal Engine works better on the 360.

The Ps3 controller is not the best for playing shooting games! I gave up on shooting games on the Ps2 for that reason! If you really want to put the unnecessary effort into it then it works, but I just lost interest. I assume it got a slightly lower score for the same reason!

Hell, a while ago, Sony even came out with a scetch of their ideal controller... and it looked just like the 360's just with Playstation buttons on it!

I will slightly agree about the controller thing. However, it isn't too much of a chore. Of course, some games seem a little easier to control than others. I've found games like Call of Duty 4 to play very well on the PS3 in comparison to the 360. However, I'll still pick a 360 controller over a PS one for a shooter when given the choice. But the PS3 controller is more than adequate with a little practice.

the ones that reviewed 360 version is from the 360 Famitsu Issue. Ps3 Famitsu folks reviewed ps3. So if you see Famitsu review a multiplatform remember that.

if you dont like the controller shoulder button then spend a couple 0f $ on clip on things that make them into triggers. also dont say sony tried to copy ms on the controller when the whole xbox controller shape is a rip off of the playstations. back to the main point. will people stop makin a fuss over the buttons when it can be easily fixed

3 - The reason PS3 Unreal got a lower score is...
Here's a scan of both reviews from Famitsu:

Basically the Japanese got screwed with the PS3 version of Unreal and it will not have user generated download contents or any DLC at all!!

The reviews that mentioned even if PS3 version can be played with a mouse, it is still not better than the DLC on 360 and the split screen co-op option.
The reviewer that gave it a 6 said at first Unreal on PS3 was hyped to have user generated contents, but the Japanese port seemed just like a cheap rip off of the US one and gave it a even lower score.

A lot of times people read Japanese magazine reviews and just look at the scores, but there's always an short editorial of each review why they gave it that score...
