i was excited before now that i´ve already play the demo(ps3)i just cant wait!!!we control our guy easelly,the powers are awsome to use and beautiful to watch,it´s a win/win/win situation!!!in the past i bougth and played starwars games and some were just to dam dificult to play!losted all the fun!some like "revenge of sith"i played with some cheats help,it was too dificult!!!i have this fear about this game,it would just kill it,but in the demo it was awsome!!!i will certanly buy it!

The demo was fun. I'll be interested to see the level-up system though. If the game has the demo's gameplay (which it obviously does) and a leveling system that makes me feel more powerful as the game progresses, this will really be an enjoyable experience.

Its one hell of a game,
i waited ages for a new SW game. And the demo was amazing. Dmm and Euphoria + Havok at the same time :) HELLYEAH.

enough euphoria (hehe) the game is great and i will have a blast playing through it :D

No fan of Star wars should leave this game its one of the best ones i played. The powers are great and quite easy to use. Something wrong with reviewers these days maybe they go too many games to reveiew and too little time to enjoy the features of the games. They can give the borefest GTA IV 10/10 and soemthing with uniquie features like Too human, Merc2, Force Unleashed gets avg ratings. Screw u reviewers,long live the gamers.

I played it last night on the 360 with hdmi, the camera was kind of jumpy, but I expect that. Otherwise it was enjoyable. I think to get the whole experience of this game you can't just play the demo. Sometimes reviewers are too critical. If I hear good things about the story I may put it on my list of games to buy.

just don't like beating the sh*t out of people with swords anymore.

they seem to j*zz all over the simplicity of pointing a gun and SHOOTING the enemy to death, instead of unleashing a flurry of unrealistic in real battle sword blows, and severing their limbs.

in the case of The Force Unleashed, i think a 7.5/10 is a fair score. but it's a FUN 7.5/10. i had a BLAST with the demo, and was eager for some more hacking and slashing, and Force pushing, and Force lighting, and combos...

i generally tend to tune out reviewers, period, but definitely when they start waxing poetic about repetitive gameplay, while praising a game where you run around and shoot people over, and over, and over, and over again *cough*CallofDuty4*cough.

don't get me wrong, i love to shoot people. but shooters haven't exactly been a revolution in gaming this gen, much like hack and slashes haven't either. or RPGS, or ANY genre. but as long as the game is fun, and you're having a blast with it, who CARES?

i can tell already that TFU is going to be the same thing over and over again, but if that's fun, it doesn't matter to me. i'm playing Mercenaries 2 currently, and it falls into the same formula of mindless fun.

reviewers need to get their snobby, film reviewer elitist sticks out of their @sses and have FUN with games again, instead of nitpicking them to death over minor slights or omissions. especially the nitpick about games being "repetitive" (which they seemingly only throw at random games they have a bone to pick with, ie, nitpick Heavenly Sword for being "repetitive," but praise Ninja Gaiden, even though it has the same repetitive template).

I thought the demo was pretty good. Has a little GoW fetish with the boss mechanics but overall not a bad impression of the game kind of fun actually I'll wait for more reviews or rent it.

I was going to buy it, but now I'm thinking rental.

I really do love Star Wars, but it just doesn't have that epic feel to it.

There were some epic moments to it, but overall I'm just not feeling it.

Also at times like this I don't know if I want to pick up a game that I'm not really going to enjoy all that much for $60 and have it last less then 10 hrs.

...when I played the Force Unleashed it reeked of that PS2 game Psi Ops (minus lightsabers). personally I liked Psi Ops a lot more. Psi Ops had gore, exploding heads, spontaneous combustion and guns. I thought SWTFU was kinda dull but then again not many people liked Psi Ops. Oh well. It has been a while since I have played a good Star Wars game (battlefield, LEGO STAR WARS!!!!! (best game ever)). I guess the series is getting milked a little too much.

While I enjoyed it I wouldn't say it's a day one purchase. Main reason being I tend to finish these types of games in a week. Strong multiplayer titles and lengthy rpgs are what I usually spend day one money on. Action titles and platformers are rent first buy used later. Unless they are very compelling example God of War or MGS4. This one just didnt strike me as that caliber.

After seeing comments about the demo and reading some of the review, this game may not be worth $60. I might just rent it for a week and beat it. If there's not a lot of replay value, there's no need of buying it, unless you can get it for cheap.

I'd say that even though the game is "average", I'm a big Star Wars fan (please,do not confuse me with those embarrassing Star Wars "fanboys"), so I could care less about the reviews.

The gameplay really ain't that bad (but not the mind blowing either) and I'm mainly playing this for the story!

Anyway, what the hell's happening to Star Wars: Battlefront III?

...The blocking was a joke, as he only twirled the saber around. Jedi/Siths from the PS2's battlefront autoblocked with better dynamic range than TFU.

He had his saber out a lot. No Jedi/Sith keeps it out that much. I understand that he was in a high danger area, but still when there was no one around he should've had the lightsaber put away... just seems more natural that way if he did.

I wish they used the sixaxis for the jedi powers... they could've made it very elegant, but instead the controls felt more involved than it had to be.
