No they didn't clear it up. That site gives no indication when the remarks were made by EA. You do realize that wording from EA was also in statements made months before this issue? It sounds like they just used one of those.

I'll consider the matter closed when I see an official statement from EA that is directly in response to this entire matter. If you look at that nz gamer article it actually makes those two situations seem unrelated.

site for revenue information on each console. Because of the way Sony/MS has EA report their quarterly numbers you can't outright claim based off of their latest release the PS3 is outselling the 360. Only that the PS3 is doing much better.

If I may be so bold, I'll offer that this can at least be partially explained by my assertion that the vast majority of the devoted 'EA Sports crowd' that blindly and unquestioningly purchases each year's edition(s) of their favorite sports franchise(s) have associated their games of choice with the PlayStation brand since the PS1 days...and probably always will. Most of these people have made the 'jump' from their PS2 in the last year or so, hence the ridiculous spike.

And yes, I know more than a couple of these people. The PS brand ain't just for Squenix and Snake cosplayers, Kotaku kids.

My own brother did the exact same thing so i do think this has some truth in it

See how the actual bit about timed exclusivity isnt actually in the quotes?
basically it's the site just assuming and making it up from the quote, because reeves mentions mirrors edge.

Common sense, if Reeves actually had made an announcement you would have found more than one blog posting it. Actually if Reeves had such information, knowing him from the past, he would have blabbered it into every microphone available over the whole convention. But it remained a single post on Heise Online (not a very 'safe' place for precise news). And all the other pages posting about it only used Heise as source, not a single other interview had this info.

Who the hell cares how long ago other console owners have had a game when it comes out for their own console? Certainly not me. I can't see any reason why I wouldn't go out and buy Bioshock when it's released for the PS3. I can see you wouldn't buy a PS3 exclusive if it were to be released on the 360.
Too bad.

PS - And the whole MS buying exclusivity doesn't seem to be working that well anymore if I look at recent sales. I guess it's time they try another approach.
