With such a bad start with trophies it is nice to see that they are becoming more accessible.

It absolutely brings a better experience to games.

I didn't get any excitement or anticipation when Sony announced the trophy support because I only play games and enjoy the stories, hence I've only played my games in easy mode and only sometimes in normal mode! but I'm gonna change my perception now regarding that matter because TROPHIES ROCKS!! I'm not saying I've been turned into a trophy whore but getting trophies totally had me feeling rewarded! 2.40 update coincided with me getting a HDTV and I was actually planning to play uncharted again! I waited for the update and ZING!! you've earned a trophy! that feels really nice and I'm now working for that Crushing trophy - the last one before my 1st platinum!! for a "easy mode" gamer like me, playing on HARD and CRUSHING really is something new and CRUSHING really is crushing me down!! near the 8 hours mark but still only 75%! hell I've managed to finish EASY with 42 trophies in 7 hours! I'm getting that platinum no matter what but still I'm only going to play games that I like and will never buy or rent games just for trophies!

I hope LBP, Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 have trophies!

Ok, I don't really care too much about trophies, but I gotta ask this. What's the purpose of a trophy system if half the games don't support them?

Isn't part of the reason XBOX's achievements were so good was because it shows how much of a gamer you are? The more you play, the higher your score, right?

I play games 'til my eyes bleed, yet none of the games I have so far support trophies, and probably will never add them. Even my Japanese versions of Star Dust (Star Strike here in Japan) and Uncharted don't even support trophies because it seems that they only updated in certain regions.

So what does my trophy score of "0" tell people? That I don't game?

Even after games with trophy support start coming out, unless I actually plan to stop playing all the games I already have with no trophy support, it's still not gonna be anywhere near an actual representation of what kind of gamer I am. Is that what everyone else is planning to do? Stop playing the games they already have?

To tell you the truth, I could even see some point in the system if trophy points could have some kind of PSN value or something. But no.

When we first started hearing of some solid plans to do a reward system like achievements, I guess the idiot in me thought that Sony was gonna give some incentive to developers to put the support in their games, or at least to be able to quickly patch things if their games are already out. I would have thought that Sony would have wanted to have as many games with trophy support as possible right off the back. Instead, the firmware is released with only one game supporting it.

One game.

And on top of that, we've still got developers who are refusing to put support in their games because "we didn't know about it in time" or "our game is too far along in development to add it". What Sony, you kept it a secret from your developers too? You didn't tell ANYBODY what you were planning??? It's true that I sometimes do dumb s#!t like that, but that's why I have no money. What's your problem?

I can understand maybe the code wasn't ready to give yet, but you could have at least told the developers to plan for it. You told everyone to design their games keeping in mind the fact that every PS3 would have a hard drive in it and that worked out great!

So what happened with trophies? Why do the developers have to find out about them when we do? Why is it that developers of practically every game already released so far has decided NOT to patch their games? Why is it that trophies have been out for this long now, and not ONE person in my entire friends list has yet to get a trophy? (granted that my friends list is only 18 people, but still!)

I my be mainly a PS3 gamer, but if someone asked me which was better between Achievements and Trophies, I'd have to say Achievements because as good as Trophies could be, they're just not gonna be in enough games to represent what a gamer is.

As a gamer, I don't really care a whole lot about trophies and achievements and all that stuff. But I've been long since tired of this Sony habit of talking big and then waiting for things to trickle in.

If your gonna hit me, then hit me. Don't waste my time talkin' about how this next hit's gonna knock me on my @ss and then pluck me in the shoulder (0_o;) Sure, maybe I'll eventually feel it over time if they keep plucking me long enough (with like practically everything else so far) but if you're gonna talk like that, then I WANT YOU TO HIT ME SONY(>_<)!

They better hit me when Home finally comes out.

In the mean time, stop letting developers cry about why they're not gonna have trophies and get some support going. ALL the games on that list shouldv'e had trophies.
