I think for XBOX RPGs, people should start focusing on August 26 (tales) and September 2 (Infinite Undiscovery, that's the game I want!) instead of dwelling on Too Human. It bombed....badly.

As for the Sony crowd, they get their laughs. I admit, as a PS360 owner, it's still kinda nice to see the XBOX followers get ripped for all their nagging about Lair and Haze. About time ;P

Time to move on, Too Human flopped, now we see if it sells well or tanks in two ways: critically and financially.

thats the most messed up thing ever. C- dosent translate to 42. C- translates to 70-74. doesnt anyone go to school? D means 60-69. F means anything below 59. where the hell did these tards learn C- tranlates to 42??
and i dont care any ways how they translate it , im getting it anyways cause the demo was hella awesome. too human seems like a very good game from what i played in the demo and its a real shame dennis had to bring all this hate upon the game cause he did the whole gaf thing. anyways infinite undiscovery is coming out in 2 more weeks and is another great 360 game.

That's what it means in terms of what mark you need to get a C- in school, maybe. But the way metacritic have calculated it, of course there's never going to be a "right" way to do it, is to say that anything from C and under is a bad review effectively. I agree it's unfair because a C- implies the game does at least some things right and a 4.2/10 looks like the game fails in almost every way. But that's because "review score inflation" has hit numbered reviews moreso than lettered reviews. A B- is under 7/10 on metacritic I think but <7/10 is considered a bad game nowadays.

1up them self metered their old 4.0-4.5 games to "C-" when they made the switch away from a number system. Hence Metacritic values all new ratings from 1up in proportion to that.

The problem is that school systems use a non symetric rating for passing grades. from 6 possible rates, A to F 4 are above 50% and only 2 are below. That will never fit into a linear scale as metacritic uses.

Imho the school system is not a good system for critic reviews, as the reviewed object can't be measured like in school. Are they counting the number of bugs? hardly.

Imho the best way to rate games is still on a 1-10 scale (or 5 stars, allowing half stars) anything more fine graded is a joke as there is no way to differentiate objectively between game x at 83% and game y at 84%, and hence this small margins are all personal preference that do not help others to decide regarding a game.

i played through it a few times as a few diff classes, and i had alot of fun. F@%K reviews. if you think it looks good, get it. if you enjoy norrath or baldurs gate, this game amps it up a few notches

yea man i dont look at reviews either and everyone has different tastes but a 4 is a pretty bad score and alot of review sites are giving it low scores so im sure its a decent game but at 60$ man i wouldnt pay that much for it and just wait till the price comes down.

i bought HAZE day one and i thought it was ok but right after that they dropped the price to 40$ so i felt cheated cause the quality was horrible for a nex gen game.

and now i got rig of alot of my games for not being "nex gen" and started a new collection of ONLY good quality nex gen games ya feel me.

ratchet is great too. uncharted is the junk. i bought haze as well, so i know where youre coming from. it just seems like theres no way this dude could have played this game to completion. i didn't like it at first when i played champion, but when i replayed as beserker, it was awesome

but yea man when the HAZE reviews were coming in they were obviously playing it on normal or easy cause if your good at a certain genre like a fps then it would make more sense for you to play it on hard at least casue it defiantly makes it more fun intence and exciting ya know.

yea man i traded in turok, oblivion, turning point, blazing angles, HAZE, and sonic the hedgehog-- for resistance and warhawk just this week. im sick of non nex gen games ya know, dont get me wrong oblivion was pretty good and met the "nex gen" standards but im not into RPGs really so it was sitting there starring at me telling me to bring it back lol. but yea thoes other games were NOT nex gen material and i wanted them out of my house lol.

-if you see a game that you like the get it. if your doubting the quality then rent it.

coming from a ps3 only guy. i completely agree with you. you can't really trust reviews these days. anybody can put a review out there. now this game has got some bad reviews from some respectable sites. not saying that its bad. i hope it's great. i hate sh1tty games. and i wouldn't wish sh1tty games on anybody else.

I said the same thing when the reviews came out for Lair and Haze. They were not great games but they definitely did not deserve a 4 rating. I agree man. If you played the demo and liked it, F#CK what reviewers say. Get the game and enjoy yourself, because thats whats important anyway.

I like to say that Resistance and Gears are both good games. I can't sell how anyone would say Resistance sucks. It was one of the best launch games on any of the two consoles. Gears2 wiil be a good game and 360 fans are going to defend it against Resistance 2, cause its one of their systems better exclusives, but Resistance 2 will be equally impressive. They are both shooters, but they do it different ways. You have to pick which one you like better, but I will be playing both.

Yes my name is Giant Enemy Crab and I don't pretend to be anything I am not.

The fact that I enjoyed the game and placed positive alt. sources and then am called out and told that the "truth" is that the game sucks. When the truth is morganfell is a strong PS3 supporter and would tend to be more negative than positive in regards to a 360 exclusive. I question whether or not he has actually even played the demo. Anyway, opinions are like aholes and I'm not on some save Too Human crusade to change peoples minds. I will give 2 sh*ts about it tomorrow. I just am tired of the negative Too Human vibe on N4G today especially when I think the game is not that damn bad to deserve this hate.

@Obama: No I think I said R&C: Quest for Booty was flop because of 1 bad review or preview. I did premise it with "According to Too Human standards" and I didn't call somebody out. I got heavy flammage for it as well. lol .. anyway, I'm done explaining myself and I wasn't talking to you anyway. ;)

Alternate sources are NOT there to start a pissing contest or to defend your beloved game. Alternate sources are only valid if they offer more sources for the SAME story, as in alternate pages that reflect on the original story or copy the story.
