I wonder how the media is going to spin all their 360 Doom articles once people start buying this SKU.
MSFT should have never boasted/announced the new 60 gig SKU and should have let folks think the 20giger cut was a standard drop.

Sony is releasing the 80 gb PS3 with a Dual Shock 3 to replace the Sixaxis in the 40 gb systems. They don't expect any increase in sales from it. I doubt MS will either from just a 40 gb boost in Hard drive space.

Honestly I saw them but they need to drop the price before I get one. There is still nothing to justify the purchase for me especially with the hardware issues that still seem to be very much alive. A 20 gig just isn't worth it and the price of the 60 gig is still too high for me to get one.

No one will have to do anything until the system starts selling!

Right now it's just a bigger HDD than what was in the previous systems! The real seller will be the games coming out. With a nice lineup of exclusives and multiplat, I think the system will start selling a bit better!

I want a price drop though... So I can give my sons my 360, and buy an elite... either that, or i'll just buy a 120 gig HDD!

2.1 - This thing has been available in my walmart and target for 1.5 weeks now
I thought it was released over a week ago because they are fully stocked with them at walmart #5344. Call them to get one. They have quite a bit in stock. It's noticeable with that prominent 60gb decal on the box. Not selling like cakes yet though.

My Best Buy store has had them for more than two weeks.

Maybe it took longer to roll it out nationwide, and that's the reason for the delayed announcement...?

My bro is taking his 360 off to college with him.
I still Got my PS3, and I LOVE my PS3, but most of my RL friends are still majorily on XBL, so I'll buy another 360. My Parents won't fancy having to pay for 2 XBL accounts though. PSN-freeness ftw.
