Quicksave's PixelJunk Eden Demo Impressions

"Ever since PixelJunk Monsters debuted, anything the folks at Q-Games announces perks my interest. Their third project, PixelJunk Eden definitely caught my eye with its lush colorful nature, but what the hell was it? Videos certainly didn't elaborate on what it was or how it was played, but that didn't matter because I liked what I saw and heard. With today's PSN update, I was finally able to answer those remaining questions."

The game was really fun once I got the hang of it. They're lucky they let me complete only so much of the demo because I would've beaten the game tonight lol...

to anybody finding the game hard, just give it time, once you get used to the controls it is really addictive..the demo is pretty long too, i got played for around 25 minutes and there s still stuff to do...

I love the Eden demo. The trailers didn't explain to me what the games about but playing the demo, i know i like it. Definately buying this. Love playing it on a HD-TV too

I got all the spectra on level 1 and it wont let me go any further...

u think it will keep our saved data when we download the full game?

lol...all you do is break enough of those pollen things until the plants grow, climb the plants until you find a glowing spectre and collect it and the stage is over...jumping off the plants lets you swing off of a silk web which lets you spin around and collect things around the plant and pushing the button again breaks the silk and lets you flip in the air...flipping lets you go through plants instead of sticking to them and kills enemies if they're around. You also have to collect the circle things so the time doesnt run out...that pretty much it.

8 - I loved it...

I loved it, it has a learning curve but once you understand the movements its great fun. Difficulty wise I'm impressed too, World 2 is clearly more difficult than the first. I was afraid the levels would all be easy and feel identical (with a color swap out) but I was wrong. The PixelJunk series is two for three on good games, cannot wait to see what they do next.

Also plus to the music, it is easy to listen to and didn't get annoying.

P.S. If you haven't yet try multiplayer, I find its actually more difficult but also more fun.

I don't play games like these, but I saw the demo of PixelJunk Eden and PixelJunk Monster, damn am I impressed or what, It is kind of addicting. I have playing the demo for quite some time now. Eden is a bit hard. But I am trying to get a hang of it, then definitely I will buy it. Its absolutely amazing game. This game proves that you don't need complex story or jaw dropping graphics to make an addictive game.

The strangest moment was when I was in the middle of Metal Gear Solid 4, which I loved...I got hooked on Pixel Junk Monsters, and for days every time I flipped on my ps3 that is what I played. I've finished MGS4 now and I'm still hooked on PJM. That to me is a testament to how good this game is.

I got Eden demo today, It's a bit more challenging than it appears at first, I'm not yet sure that I can provide as many hours of enjoyment as PJM, but I will definitely be purchasing this one as well. Kudos to Pixel Junk for delivering such quality at a cheap price.

This is another great example of the quality dowloadable titles that are starting to become common on PSN. Full 1080P experiences crafted for the system, that are genuinely innovative and also very good value.

I'm just not sure if it has any replay value at all. Although i guess most games don't. I may buy in the future if they do a limited time Pixel Junk Bundle sale for all 3 games. + PJM Expansion.
