Posting Rumors
Like it or not, but rumors have always been a big part of the gaming press. So posting rumors is fine as long as you make it absolutely clear in your post that it is a rumor. The rumor should also come from a somewhat credible source. A lot of people make up rumors in internet forums so be careful to check the source before posting.

Well no, the disk format was too small. The wii could easily run it which isn't suprising seeing as the gamecube did have better graphics capabilities then the PS2.

The problem is that was designed to run on hardware from 8-9 years ago, hardware wise the wii is several times more powerful than the ps2 which doesn't say much.

I think the thing that some wii owners forget, is that not all wii owners view gamecube/ps2 graphics as acceptable/enjoyable in regards to the generation we are in, or the hardware specs of the wii.

While i doubt wii owners ever expect to see ps3 or 360 levels graphics, however i would be willing to bet many of times, a wii owner thought couldn't they at least push the graphics past the gamecube/ps2 level.

Now as for people giving the wii respect on it's own right as a console lol this will take some time, lets see it fails on the online part fc are retarded and cumbersome. Making online gaming more difficult than it should be, just copy live or psn and be done with it. Nintendo is just now addressing voice chat being non existent for almost 2 yrs of the console's lifecycle.

Nintendo obviously isn't to interested in selling alot of vc or wii ware games, since they basically told wii owners, delete your old games and redownload them at another time. And if that is too inconvenient for you ts, because we aren't even concerned with this in the slightest at the moment.

Too many casual and non gamer/mini games, a drought of core deep games for nintendo's older fanbase.

The lack of any substancial multimedia capacity ie downloading movies, trailers, not be given some game content songs, weapons maps ect, due to lack of a dedicated storage device. Maybe you can get the new content if the dev releases it on a disc, otherwise your screwed.

And lastly e3 conference, where nintendo couldn't have made it anymore clearer that core/hardcore gamer either doesn't matter to them and they will string loyal fans along to buy 1st party games, with pr damage control.

Or the entire leadership of nintendo has their head so far up their asses with success, that they didn't realize the message that an all-out casual conference conveys to their fans. I would pick the first option.

Third party core game don't sell well to the casual/non gamer crowd and even to an extent the nintendo core base. Really if some of you gamers that buy first party games like they are made out of platinum want core games so bad, how could you let no more heroes, and zack and wiki die on the vine, have they even hit 1 million yet?

And this is console as a gamer that deserves my or other gamers respect as a successor of the last generation of consoles. Also this is without even bringing up last gen graphics as a significant negative, to a ps3 or 360 owner it would be a big one.

The wii has done only 2 things worthy of any amount of respect, it has reached a previously untapped market, 2nd and is currently the console with the most units sold.

Unfortunately 50% or more(my rough guess) of the units sold are to people that think wii sports are a good enough game for them and thats all they will play, maybe they will pick up wii sports resort. Apparently people enjoy the motion control of flailing their arms around to play a game, so nintendo did that right at least.
