I disagree with this. Gears of War 2 is set to be epic, remember that the build we seen isn't going to represent the final build of this game.

The gameplay looks good and there are enough features and MP modes to merit a "true sequel"

Tell what COD4 did that makes it such a "true sequel"?

It's still a run and gun FPS, same core mechanics of gameplay. Except it went modern and has a lvling system, by this do you mean "true sequel"?

gameplay doesnt need to be improved in my opinion but..

make it so it doesn't look like an overgrown hunchback troll running around, make the people look more realistic

We'll call it what we want. And we'll continue calling it GoW2 over and over again even if ya like it or not!

But GoW2 is looking freakin AWESOME! I'm loving everything about it so far. And contrary to the guy above, I like the character design with the huge guys. Gives the game character. I mean, put any of those characters in a picture by themselves and most gamers will automatically know there from GoW.

Rainbow6 terrorist hunt doesnt count because nothing respawns and gets harder. there are no levels on each map, just one level

Not rly... but if you mean that GoW2 should be called GoW1,5 your dead on. It feels nothing like a sequal in my eyes. The thing they could do that wasn't able in the first is massive maps with the ability to freely move across them. They could also add 4 player co-op and more weapons than the flamethrower. But as money comes first and commonsense comes after that I won't keep my hopes up.

i know it looks similar to the first one but if they added new MP modes, a whole new longer campaign, crawling, bullet shields, cover system improvements, new weapons, new characters, slightly better graphics, increases 4v4 to 5v5, new maps,new enemies, horde mode and all the rest; i'd pay £35 for that addon.

They may as well put it on another disc and sell it as a full game to save downloading it.

its tough to get out of that area with any same generation sequel...Epic made it very clear how hard they were pushing the 360 with gears 1, which clearly shows, being that only UT3 looks better (guess who made that game...)...

it does still look impressive to me though...that view out the window with the brumack down in the valley, and all the huge plumes of smoke coming up...Epic really knows how to squeeze UE3 obviously...but everything else is just a change in art direction, not tech...

what many want to know is...where is the stuff from the Tech Demo?...we have seen the lots of identical enemies on screen thing in a few gameplay spots (although some claim they can not be interacted with)...but where is the soft body physics?...where is the uncharted like water physics and reflections (the ugliest part of UT3 by far...the water sucked)...some little stuff has been shown with destructability...but even that doesn't appear to be nearly to the degree of the tech demo...

the game still looks awesome...I have always loved the gore, but not so much the ridiculous size of the characters...I can definitely understand the 'expansion pack' feeling the game gives off at times though...RSV2 gave off the exact same impression for the most part...

Obviously they changed the formula cause the game wasn't that good. Why would they change the formula to Gears if the Game ROCKED and was loved by millions. Think a little sometimes!

If they made it lok the same as Gears1 i'd still buy it. But they havent. There are slight improvements (more detail, more colour, longer draw distances and vistas).

Gears is one of the best looking games on the 360 but its the gameplay that makes it good and so replayable and fun.

Gameplay > graphics - always.
