I have more then enough reasons to play my ps3. Sony dosnt need FF to sell its consoles anymore. The list of games commen out this year along with blu ray makes it well worth it.

its one thing to want to be first as a writer to post "could be" info that turns out right.

but one should at least look at the facts.

at the square-enix conference they stated that the only reason versus was going to be exclusive was due to the engine used which is not their crystal tools engine used for ffxiii.

they are loosing money and cant afford to stay exclusive. but they also dont have the resources to make 1 game out of 2 engines for 2 consoles.

they did say that going forward all final fantasy games will be made using the crystal tools engine so all future games will be multiplatform...

like square enix said themselves they wanna support all systems equally so they will keep this ps3 exclusive since they gave the 360 enough games 4 big ones that i can remember 2 big ps3 ones and 2 big wii ones sorta lol so im expecting more ps3 and wii games from them

The key word when Square says VS is still exclusive is "still" & that can change anytime & anywhere & there is a 95 % chance that it WILL change & the only people that will be playing the new Final Fantasies will be the Japanese long before anyone else

Listening to them go on about the exclusive garbage gets annoying. Frankly I dont feel like going another 6 months back and forth meanwhile the actual articles with the games in it go untouched.

Theres way to many final fantasy's. Come up with a new title for heavens sake.

This author doesn't realize that all Final Fantasy games take place in the same universe but with unrelated stories. In conclusion this is suggesting that all Final Fantasy games should be developed on the XBOX 360. With the Fabula Nova Crystallis will feature different worlds with different stories that are bound by a common mythology of the crystal(s). That's the only difference between the Fabula Nova Crystallis and the other Final Fantasy games. There is also a third game being developed on the mobile phone but no one is talking about that, lol.

It doesn't have to be developed for the XBOX 360 just buy a PlayStation 3. As far as I know it there won't be any XBOX 360 version in Japan (Final Fantasy XIII) and each game will take full advantage of the PlayStation 3. 50GB (Blu-ray Disc) divide by 8.54 (DVD9) equals six discs on the XBOX 360. I'm just wondering if people will like that or can it all fit in the case? It will be interesting to see the packaging after the Lost Odyssey issue, lol.

They might get it, or they might not. It pretty much depends on if and how much money MS is willing to cough up. What some Square Enix representative says at the moment is irrelevant. We all know FF13 was said to be an exclusive too.

Whatever happens, I'm getting it for my PS3. The eventual 360 version is going to be a port, just like with FF13.

SONY has a share in SE, so, if it does go multi and sell well, SONY will gain. Either way, SONY will make lots of $$$. Then, they can use the money to fund 1st party projects. Internally, SONY and SE must have discussed over this and view it as a favourable decision. It's a win win situation for SONY and SE.

Don't get upset over FF goes multi. You must understand SE is a 3rd party developer, they need $$$ to fund the development. SONY itself understands that.

Remember, FF started on Nintendo and then it went to Genesis and PS1, so, it should come to no surprise that it may make it's way to 360.

No doubt SONY wants to make $$$ from it's own PS3 but revenue from other software channel sales is important too, so, allowing it's own software to sell well on other platforms will bring them revenue too. It's logical, ain't it?

However, I think that although SONY and SE has done M$ a HUGE favour, it can't keep 360 afloat because M$ doesn't deserve such an honorable game.

Furthermore, PS3 is catching up very fast in other regions where 360 just cannot match. We've seen what SONY could do with PS1 and PS2. Once they get the ball rolling, they'll bull-doze their way over their rivals and that includes M$. Look at Bravia and Vaio. They are the best in their class.

SONY is just playing the humble-pie game like they did with PS1 and PS2. PS3 is unstoppable from now onwards.

This all but confirms the multiplatform release of FFXIII Versus on the Xbox 360. Only Xbox 360 gives Square Enix the platform they need to fully realize their creative visions, with the most technically advanced console on the planet with many award winning features. Coupled with the Xbox 360s superior sales, Square Enix can be assured of making a huge profit with FFXIII Versus on the Xbox 360, something which was unlikely on the PS3. Every PS3 exclusive in 2007 bombed, badly and this has led to 3rd party developers left and right abandoning the sinking ship and being welcomed with open arms to the Xbox 360 community.

With the clear superiority of the Xbox 360 who can blame them.

well ffx111 is coming at least a year after ps3 plus at least on 5 discs to 360 but will you want it by then,25 to 50gb games are coming out only on ps3, and the thought of buying a five disc version of any game is a joke.i can see the headlines now and the you tube videos theres going to be some jokes at the 360,s exspense.

FFXIII may be multiplatform but Square Enix already confirmed FFXIII Versus to be PS3 Exclusive that is if you people have listened to the interviews and news.
FFXIII Versus is 100% Confirmed a PS3 Exclusive let it go people.
