Err, what do you mean jwatt? Europe had it's price cut about amonth ago. I think US's price cut takes place this week. When American Hardware sales come into play, we'll have to see how much of an impact it had on sales, if any at all.

It's hard to find reliable numbers (VGCharts being at the bottom of the scale of reliability) but surely it's real close now, by the end of the year maybe?

VG is garbage no matter who submits it. Maybe Cyrus finally saw what a retard the Source is - they were even calling him out on his own website. Undertracked ps3 almost 75k and overtracked 360 sales by about 40k according to actual NPD data. Wouldn't include bundled MGS4 as units sold (but did for WiiPlay) - then pulled an aboutface during the middle of the comments section. Said sales spike for the PS3 was due to the Walmart rebate - LOL like all 400k units sold were at Walmart. They don't even report their sales data to NPD (he later admitted guestimating their figures). They're all jokes.

The 360 only outsold the PS3 from August to November last year(price drop and Halo). What makes people think that selling less than 20,000,000 in 3 years is impressive is beyond me. In fact, it has only outsold the original Xbox by 4,000,000 units WW! Lol seriously. The Xbox360 is a failure. THe PS3 is going to pass it, and we all knew it was coming.

Lase week the PS3 outsold the 360 by 20,000 units in America. According to NPD they have outsold the 360 by 250,000 this year.

Umm..it aint looking good lol. Soon it will be a few idiots who bought the 360 playing, arguing that the PS3 has NO GAMES!LOL. While the PS3 blows past it in install base and significance. Basically the 360 will be the new HD-DVD.

And...Gears will come to the PS3 lol. (BTW. Just like Sony doesn't own the rights to Final Fantasy, Microsoft doesn't own the rights to Gears of War. If they saw fit, Epic could bring the series to the PS3.)

Microsoft does own publishing rights. Microsoft doesn't own publishing rights for any other Epic Games, but they did nail them down for the Gears series. Gears of War is expected to only be a trilogy similar to Halo, and when Microsoft secured a publishing deal that means no Gears of War for playstation 3.

Pretty smart move too, since Gears will sell a whole lot across europe. And it is one of those games that is actually a second party effort instead of third party. So no doubt, they will use much of its awesome force to erode and take over playstation's long known market in europe as well as capture the european gaming audience. Extremely good tactics, which will do great for them in France especially.

Was barely outsold in Europe by Gears. It was only outsold by 150,000 units. So this idea that Gears is going to win over Europe for the 360 is completely false. If Halo couldn't do it, how in the hell will Gears, especially when releasing against many strong PS3 titles.

On top of that it already cost 100euros less than the PS3 and it is still outsold.

And once again, Gears of War 3 can legally come to the PS3. It would be just like Microsoft paying of Square to bring Final Fantasy to the 360. Epic owns the IP, so bottom line is that if the PS3 sells enough consoles and sees fit to pay off Epic for Gears 3 it can happen. They have publishing rights for Gears 1 and Gears 2 ONLY. Not Gears 3.

Reality is that the 360 never sold that well anywhere. And now that the PS3 is finding its stride it is killing the 360. The 360 this year has sold more consoles in this period than either the original Xbox or the Xbox360, yet the PS3 has still outsold it by almost 2,000,000 consoles at $399! I love how 360 fanboys try and spin that somehow. It was over before it began. 360 = used to be a good console with good exlusives, but it never was mainstream and never will be.

Seriously. Why the hell is Microsoft even in this business? The overall loss for the first Xbox was around 5 billion. Has any console in the history of video gaming ever had a net loss of that much within its lifespan? They already lost almost 2 billion this generation from RROD alone. Microsoft would have to dominate the next two generations of video gaming just to break even.
