The E3 presentation this year was so slick and well put together then this sweaty loaf waddles out stumbling on his words. He just seems out of place. Not the smooth sophisticated image that Sony shoots for. To me he just doesn't embody "Sony". Phil Harrison and Kaz mop the floor with this guy.

Also I thought his opening joke about Jack Palance being dead was of really bad taste for the face of a huge corporation. It wasn't funny. Basically a douche chill moment. Plus young people most likely have no idea who he was talking about nor the moment Palance did the push up at the Oscars. I wish Sony would replace him. SCEA needs someone respectful like a Phil Harrison type.

Every public figure has bad things said about them. Especially high profile gaming industry executives that suck at presentations. Its part of your job. Man up Tretton!

I think Jack Tretton is the only PR guy that is not an ass like everyone else. Seriously that Don Mattrick guy was too smug, like Reggie from Nintendo. And that stupid old woman was just annoying in the Nintendo conference.

I agree...I was impressed with the way he handled the show...a world away from his humbling performance last year: So nervous it was as if he was speaking in front of a trigger-happy firing squad.

Well, in a way, I guess he was...except instead of guns, the squad had keyboards.

He won my respect with this year's performance.

It's really all about the tone and behavior. I'm a technical core trainer at my job and I work with a lot of different people. I can tell their tone when they lie, tell the truth, when they're nervous, etc. etc.

Examining Jack Tretton, to me he seems very humble compared to others in this industry. You don't get any real sense of c*ckiness from the tone of his voice and his overall body language.

When you hear people like Shane Kim talk, you get the sense of over confidence. I know it's part of their job, but some humility would be nice. And Aaron Greenburg is the worst. HHG I know you think he's an alright guy, etc. But his PR Q&As are really childish.

They have this annoying way of boasting about the 360 when the sales have been slowing down and the PS3 is outselling them. For a console that's in third place, I find it REMARKABLE that the PS3 reached the numbers the 360 were once at in such a short period of time.

If you want me to say that Kim is the greatest guy I have ever seen in my entire life and he's so awesome that I wish more people were like him, then you will be sadly disappointed. I'm very impressed with the direction Tretton is taking the PS3. There's no problem with that-that's just my opinion.

Then you think it's a piece of crap, good for you. I don't think it's a piece of crap. I was just as disappointed of Sony back in 2007. I was planning on selling it and getting a 360. But now, the 360 is about to be my secondary console because there are a few games I want.

I don't hate the 360, but I do hate the company of which it came from. I feel that Microsoft is a disgusting company because they bought their way through competition. The only reason why I ever say negative things about the 360 is the RROD. I personally felt that a console like that shouldn't have that many problems. Hopefully when I get a 360, it actually works and doesn't die on me.

You're calling me blind because I still support Sony? I am not blind for supporting Sony. They may have had a very slow start back in 2007 but they're getting it together. That's the way I feel about them and they should receive some kind of recognition for getting back on their feet. There is *no* reason why there needs to be constant attacks against this company or product when they're outselling their competitors and they're actually getting it together with 1st party exclusives and so forth.

You hate the PS3, that's your opinion. But don't expect others to hate it as well.

To be fair, how many NFL coaches leave their teams a year? How many players? to be fair, Microsoft has burned thru Seamus, Jeff, Ed Fries, Peter Moore and 4 others since xbox came out.

Seamus is the reason why the system even got made. Without his genius it would have never been. Just because Phil was feeling pressure and was tired of answering questions doesn't give anyone the right to assume the absolute worst. Phil is 1 guy. Peter Dillie is still there at Sony, Jack Trenton, Kaz Hari, Eric Lempel, Even Wells stand on board after the Sony buyout and countless others did too.

Sony has a strong commitment to hardware and that can't be denied. Maybe if everyone else, Nintendo and Microsoft, took a page out of this chapter in Sony's book instead of all the other chapters they steal from, we'd be in a more stable ever advancing hardware and software climb instead of a back to drawing board decline every 4 to 5 years.
