Reasons why 2009 > 2008 for PS3

TalkPlayStation.com has written an article regarding the PS3's life beyond 2008 and writes:-

"So what has the Playstation 3 got to offer in the year 2009 and how it will be better than 2008. Don't get me wrong, 2008 has a very strong line up with the following games being released; Socom Confrontation, Wipeout HD, LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm 2 and Resistance 2. It doesn't stop there, 2009 will be even better!

First of all, Killzone 2 will be released at the beginning of 2009, february, which will make a great start to the year."

MGS4, LBP and Resistance2 this year

inFamous, Killzone2 and God of War3 next year so far the big killer apps And you know insomniac will have something as always

prolly a new Naughtydog game and maybe GT5 and the offchange of team ico's new game

@Breakfast, Microsoft can try as hard as they like by stealing exclusives, but the only way they can go is.....down.

Final Fantasy 13 for xbox is going to do nothing in hardware department.

Even if it does, it will NEVER outdo ps3 hardware that will be sold because of FFX13.

FACT: Just look at who sold more hardware because of GTA.

Insomniac new stidio will have a game engine form the start but probably a very late 09 or probably 2010
we can probably expect something from the japan studio that gave us folklore in 09 hopefully something just as unique and new

Now don't get me wrong, the year has been great, but honestly. By now we should've had:
killzone 2
home
ff13
gt5
heavy rain
the getaway
8 days
and a plethora of other great titles that should of been released this year that have now moved into 2009.

2008's been good but it's not what they promised last year, and I can only have faith for 2009.

Well they've had a hell of a lot better year than XB. How many exclusive Must Have titles have they had this year? My count is at NONE so far, hopefully it should get up to about 3 by Christmas. XB hasn't had a AAA exclusive since Mass Effect. Long time between drinks.

I think that 2009 will be the PS3's biggest year compared to 2008 because in 2009, the PS3's price will be much lower and there will be even more exclusive games.

If the PS3 has been outselling the 360 for this long while being more expensive, I honestly can't see the 360 beating the PS3 next year at all.

Once Final Fantasy XIII is released in Japan, the PS3 could sell around 1 million units in Japan easily in the first month or two, and once the PS3's price drops to $299 in the U.S., that's when I think the Mass Migration of PS2 owners will start to begin upgrading to PS3's.

First of all, it was announced in 2005. That's when they began selling the product on the hype of future potential. And while the PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide since the start of the year, it's mean by a minor margin (what's a few thousand in a week after gaining a lead of millions) and the PS3 released one of their biggest exclusives while the 360 didn't. Overall, the 360 has sold better and its games have sold better consistently more often than the PS3.

the PS3 has so many first and second part games releasing in the next 6-18 months it's ridiculous.

we're already over halfway through 2008. February 2009 isn't that far away, and the next few months are going to be plenty busy with all the cool exclusives and multi-plats coming, starting with Soul Calibur IV at the end of this month.

I think they left them out because nobody knows if games like Heavy Rain and L.A. Noire are going to be released in 2009 or even if they ever actually will be released. HR doesn't even have a publisher yet.
