mmm.... nope, FFXIII was on risk to be canceled and squenix made the choice to expand the market in order to go ahead with the project, the proof is, that FFXIII is still exclusive for PS3 in japan because the 360 low sales there.

big news? there is a ton of PS3 exclusives, and I will buy FFXIII for the PS3, I don't want a RRoD on the middle of the game and wait two months to conclude the game.

Because developing for PS3 and 360 is so expensive, most 3.party companies want to release on both platforms.

So we will have to rely on 1.party titles for exclusives it seems...

too little too late? the PS3 E3 expo is tomorrow, and the only thing that made "great" the M$ E3 expo was the FFXIII announcement because... man.... it was boring as hell, I was there and I was sleeping until they show the squenix panel.

btw, the BK demo is really fun, cheers to Rare for this title.

...the funny thing about that is none of those things you mentioned are out yet. They're going to be showing mostly the same things they showed last year. Of course I expect a few suprises, but the sad reality is that at none of the new things they show tomorrow may even be out by the time the next E3 rolls around.

I'm a PS3 owner, I don't own a 360, but I watched the MS presser today, and I have to say the one thing I was impressed with was that almost everything they showed will be available within the next 3 or 4 months. That's a refreshing change when you're used to Sony unveiling something and we can't even get our hands on it for two years.

is that not within the next 3-4 months? it's not like it's January anymore. we have a little less than 6 months remaining in this year, and all the titles above are listed for release this year, even if dates are 100% nailed down.

just because we have a lot to look forward to for NEXT year, doesn't mean that the offerings THIS year are crap.

not to mention that there are some great multi-plats hitting, so those that own a 360, PS3, or BOTH, have more than just exclusives to keep them busy.

MS's press conference was rather lackluster. the Final Fantasy XIII announcement redeemed it. i call it the "Darth Maul Effect:" Episode I was a terrible movie, HOWEVER, most people forgot how mediocre it was, because that last battle between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Darth Maul was so badass.

the same thing applies here; because that FFXIII announcement was such a big deal, it clouded people's judgments about how sparse and uninteresting Microsoft's E3 press conference was. they talked about games that we already knew practically EVERYTHING about, and rested on third parties to get people pumped (how many people were GENUINELY interested in the Avatars and LIPs? now, how many people were PUMPED to see Fallout 3, Resident 5, and yes, FFXIII? well, there you go).

doesn't mean Gears 2, Fable 2, and even LIPs and Avatars are going to be crap, but to me, it just wasn't enough to rekindle my excitement in the 360 for the rest of this year and BEYOND.

it's going to be REALLY interesting to see how Sony's Press Conference goes tomorrow. the entire internet will be watching, i'm sure.

this E3 already started out explosively. hands down the best start to an E3 that i can think of at the moment. lol. these guys aren't pulling any punches this year. but will it be enough for Microsoft to stay ahead of the game? only time will tell...

Thank you for saying that! Why is everyone acting like 360 gained FF as an exclusive? They are finishing it first for the ps3, it will get most recognition on ps3 ... SE is only 'multiplatforming' it because of their expenses. The only reason I am all upset about the whole thing is because I don't want their jump in sales to provoke them to not be unique/creative with their games anymore. Competition brings creativity and if the biggest RPG maker (SE) isnt in the market for competition their RPGs surely wont be as spectacular.

I think a God of War III will sooth most PS3 fanboy's pain.

I'm not going to mention FFVII remake or FFVII sequel. Why? Because anything from Square-enix is tainted. Even if there's a FFVII remake or sequel, you'd be damn sure they're going to release that on 360 too to maximize profits and please microsoft.

Heck, even announce Halo 4 for crying out loud. Announce the Team Ico project.

Sony, announce something.
