4 - better be true
while I own a wii and love motion controls, I was really hoping that Banjo would be traditionally controlled its already a huge deviation from the original games and motion would make it seem cold and distant. Plus looking at the video walkthroughs it seems to be tradionally controlled with all the standard buttons, plus whenever they move that crane and shake the crate, there was a button prompt to shake it so if they had a motion controller why wouldn't the player just shake that, anyway unless rare's controller is the same as the nunchuck/wiimote which felt very good in Galaxy than they better include option for traditional control.

How so? have you played the Wii and Mario Galaxy?

It works very well. It's quite fun controlling a character without that same ol controller griping posture.

4.2 - anyway
alright just got back from work and even though no one will read this I'll post it anyway, yes I own a Wii, and yes I have played SMG (have luigi and 121 stars) I mean Banjo would seem cold and distant, also I mean if you control banjo with an analog stick thats fine, throw in motion controls, but looking at all the prototypes for M$ controller they were all one handed and had no analog stick, I'm not one of those idiots who think every wii game is controlled by motion, most anti-wii people still think the sensor bar is there for the motion detection, even though its there for the IR. sorry for me not making myself clear, and if anybody is still reading this article, aknoledge.
